  1. I love any time you can spend with us. I’ve had similar issues with both my parents. Please take all the time you need.
I love making bags especially the larger ones to carry projects and quilts in.
Thank you for being you. Don’t forget to take time for yourself. Hugs

  2. I like clear or see thru zippered bags so I can see what projects I have and how I am progressing on them.

  3. I’ve wanted to try these mesh bags, but I just haven’t because I have a whole stash of plastic project bags that I got YEARS ago at the Houston quilt show that say “Eleanor Burns made a stripper out of me!” 😂 I think she was the first to pioneer strip cutting and piecing way back in my early quilting life and I saw her do a demo at Houston. I have several sizes of these bags and use them for all of my stitchy projects!

  4. My favorite bag at the moment is a crossbody I made. It is great to have my hands free. Love watching everything you do and I will be waiting for you to get back to normal- whatever that may be!

  5. My favorite bag is a large bag my friend made many years ago. I take it with on quilt runs and quilt retreats.

  6. My favorite bag is a black tote that my daughter got for me. It has a colorful sewing machine on it with the saying: “Blessed are the Quilters for they shall be called Piecemakers”. I use it for carrying things to my guild meetings, sit and sews and classes.

  7. Grocery bags with the plastic insert on the bottom are the best.
Clear ziplock bags are great so you can see what’s inside.
Our thoughts are with you all as you struggle through this.
Stop and smell the flowers and enjoy the little things. đŸ„°

  8. My favorite bag is a blue Thirty-one bag for my hand sewing with a needle and spool of thread embroidered on it.

  9. My favorite bag is one I made with my serger. It showcases some of the decorative stitches and is very strong.

  10. My favorite project bags are the ones that I de-kit when a project is completed. I get a sense of accomplishment and excited that I can now fill it with a new project. I have purchased only a couple fabric bags and many of the fat quarter shop bags but my very favorite one has to be the big red square FQS bag that houses all my Christmas stitches. Interesting enough I do not have a blue bag at all.
Pat, I have just gone through what you are experiencing. After years of downsizing, selling her home, moving her to assisted living (at age 89) and moving her out when she’d needed a nursing home, she ended in Memory Care at 97 years of age. She passed on Memorial Day this year. I wish I could pick up the phone and talk with her now. Enjoy your mother and take the time as you can to be with her.

  11. I use bags of all shapes and sizes. Most of all, I love the ones I have made. They have memories associated with them and that makes them special. I love watching you, Pat and wish you the best as you care for your Mom. Family is most important! As a caregiver, make sure you care for yourself too!

  12. my favorite bag is one I got while on a tour, it was at a resale shop. It had pockets and more pockets, and zipped at the top, which is a must for me.

  13. Hi Pat, I like all kinds of bags. I have quite a collection so it is fun to rotate them as I finish projects.
I am praying for you and yours. Where you are at is challenging. Hang in there!

  14. I haven’t made any bags yet, but recently made a bedside caddy for my husbands walker. He is fighting issues with dizziness and falling down (hoping doctors soon determine the causes).
I love your videos and the quilt alongs. Grandma’s kitchen was my first project like that.
Don’t stress about negative comments. You’re great!

  15. Bags are the best! The FQS mesh see through quality and boxed bottom are a favorite. Best wishes to your Mom and your family for good health and smooth transition. I can relate.
    Debby

  16. I have a collection of handmade bags that I have designed. My favourite has an appliqué little girl on one side and a panel of half inch hexes on the other. Wishing you and all your family the best for the future.

  17. I have recently subscribed to the FQS Quarterly Cross Stitch Club and received my first project last week. Well, that mesh bag with the ladybugs is my new favourite bag! 21. My favorite bag is a quilted bag I made for travel accessories. The pattern is from By Annie. I love the Hedgehog fabric I used on it!

  22. Pat keeping your family in my thoughts. My favorite Bag tends to be the one I currently use but I love a great crossbody bag but for projects I love the FQS ones.

  23. My favorite bags seem to be the mesh bags as well, Pat. They are sturdy and keep my projects organized, especially when I use a coordinating zipper pull to remind me of the contents. I like how they are flat bottomed and can sit on a shelf for easy access. They are great organizers!

  24. I don’t have a favorite bag. I have made some bags from various patterns and like the see through ones for quilting projects and small boxy ones to hold supplies for sewing class. The Fat Quarter shop has great products, it would be fun to try this one out.
Stay strong Pat, taking care of your parents is tough. Prayers to you and your family.

  25. I enjoy making tote bags . One of my criteria is pockets for organization.
Hope your mom is doing better .

  26. I love all kinds of bags. The mesh bags are really nice. I also like to make them out of fun fabric. Please take time for yourself. Being a caregiver is exhausting. I hope your mom finds peace in her new place.

  27. My favorite bag to buy is the Mesh bags. They are wonderful to put cross stitch and emboidery projects in to keep everything organized.

  28. I love the mesh bags too. My friend did a cross stitch pattern on one and gifted it to me. I love it. The bags are useful for so many things and the colors are great.

  29. My favorite bag- I have a beautiful bag I “had@ to purchase years ago on a girl friends trip to Atlanta. My childhood girlfriends and I traveled to Atlanta to stay for a week and visit with one of the girls. We went into the mountains and stayed in a cabin, swam in the lake and went into search of antiques. Well I found this rather large antique plus some wall pockets that needed to be a carry on for the plane ride home to Chicago. I found a cute quilt shop that was selling beautiful quilt bags that were the perfect size for a carry on! I received many compliments in the airport for this bag! To this day I use this bag for retreats and quilt bees/ retreats!
Happy you are back home Pat! My you have had a lot on your plate! I miss your morning videos!!! Hope evert settles down for you very soon!

  30. Thinking of you and your family, Pat. I love all types of bags and use them for so many things. I especially like the ones with boxed corners.

  31. I love bags of just about any kind. My favorites are holiday themed bags that I use to carry my things to work. They make me happy.

  32. I love all kinds of bags but my eye and mind stray towards denim bags from recycled denim with beautiful fabric on the inside

  33. My favourite bag is an over shoulder large scrappy bag with a hand embroidered panel, i made this for when i attend the Australasian Quilt Convention each year in Melbourne. It is held in the most beautiful old historical building the Royal Exhibition Building. ❀

  34. I love to make and gift bags. It’s a smaller project than a quilt when I need a break but want to work with the pretty fabric.

  35. I love all kinds of bags, zip bags, tote bags, etc. For my sewing projects I love mesh bags because I can see at a glance what is in them.

  36. I don’t use project bags but would love to try one. I guess closest thing I use is ziploc bags

  37. I make all kinds of bags but my favorite is a free “grocery bag” pattern that I found. It’s simple but easy to customize with color, pattern and embroidery. I have a couple myself but have given many away for gifts.

  38. I love bags! Hard to choose a favorite from all that I have. One special bag is one made by Charlotte Stewart the actress who played Miss Beadle on Little House on the Prairie tv show. I met her last year. We had. A Wonderful conversation, shared hugs, and she signed the bag I chose. She is a great seamstress and quilter, and person. I would love to win this set from FQS. These mesh bags a super useful.
