Wow, 10 years, that’s AWESOME! Asking what fabric I like is a little like asking which cookie I like…do I have to really decide? I love classical better than bold modern, but can’t pick just one…that’s why my stash keeps growing & I could really use the generous $150 gift certificate from Fat Quarter Shop (my LQS shop since I live very close to their warehouse, lol) to add to my stash. I love batik fabrics especially rich colored ones and the brighter ones. I tend to buy in regard to whether I like the fabric or not instead of designer. I like fabrics from Pat Sloan, Sherri McConnell, Chelsi Stratton, Lori Holt to name a few.

I love the Fat quarter shop. My favorite fabrics are generally novelty prints to make quilts for my nieces, nephews and now great nieces & nephews!
I have purchased more of Pat Sloan’s fabric designs (than any other designer) and love them all – her choice of fabric designs are different from one another lending variety in quilt creations. Aside from Pat’s fabrics I lean more into 30’s reproduction prints.

This is so awesome that the FQS is joining in on your anniversary celebration! My favorite fabric to buy is hard to say since I have so many that catch my eye – but my favorite TYPE of fabric to purchase is a fat quarter. Especially fat quarter bundles. And it always surprises me how much fabric is in a FQ bundle. I always end up with lots left over. Often enough for a second project.

As far as fabric lines go, I tend to love Lori Holt’s style of fabric but my choices are mostly influenced by the type of quilt I am making and who it’s for. Price also makes a difference!
