  2. You must have been reading my mind. I went looking for this pattern again today. Thanks. I want to use it for some Honor Flight quilts.

  3. Lovely, I may have to do a variation of this in…wait, wait for it…Tie-Dye! Here’s the thinking. I just tie-dyed some fun shirts with my nieces. (I think we’re feeding another addiction here, too). Alas, work also let’s us wear holiday themed shirts on certain holidays. I have one silk collared shirt in red, but no red, white and blue shirts yet, and there are three holidays for which I can wear one. So, if I buy a button up white shirt that is collared and use red and blue tie-dye…I will be one of the most fun looking table games dealers around…for less than the price of a dress…Now, if I buy a bolt of muslin, or white cotton…just think how crazy I can go on my patio with some tie-dye kits;-). Such fun, Happy 4th of July!

  4. Just my opinion but I love the starburst for the backing! But to each their own! I love the pattern, although that one will be awhile for me! But thank you forbit. I hope you have an amazing July 4th holiday. Blessings to you & yours!

  5. Happy Summer, Pat! Thank-you for your Flag Pattern!
I cast a vote for the starburst fabric for your backing and the save the Word fabric for a featured front or sashing. I love, love, love the word fabric!
Cheers and Happy Quilting! Cathy in MA

  6. Love This Pattern! You are such an inspiration. I am going to do this quilt as a donation and use the True Blue Picnic Basket to border the Starburst on the back. Thank you so much for all your patterns, projects and tips, looking forward to many more.

  7. Thank you, thank you, thank you……I love this pattern, something to work on the 4th of July weekend (I know, I’m always a day late and a $$ short.) Oh my, the backing, I love, love the word fabric, but I’m just as in love with the starburst. I’ll have to finish the quilt and then decide. And, thanks again for all the inspiration you share ! Hugs to you and Happy 4th !!!!

  8. Thanks for darling pattern! I love your word fabric, but for this one, I agree with most that the Starburst is the best!

  9. I like the Starburst fabric for the backing for this one! Reminds me of fireworks on the 4th of July.

  10. I think Starburst is the perfect backing for your flag quilt! Thank you for everything you share with us!

  11. Starburst is the perfect backing, just like July 4th fireworks! Save the words for a time when they can really be featured (I love words fabric!).

  12. LOVE IT!! Thanks so much for all you share with us! I think you should use the STARBURST fabric for the background.

  13. Pat, this is beautiful. Your Sunday Drive fabric is really wonderful. I am partial to red and white and blue quilts and fabrics. I love your words fabric, but for the backing here, i prefer the starburst. I think it fits the theme of the quilt a bit better. Just my opinion if you are looking for input.

  14. Okay, now I need to make me one of these. I love the aqua sashing.. Never would have thought of that but when I got close I could see it in some of the other prints. Just great. Thanks for the free pattern

  15. Thanks so much for the pattern. I like the bottom fabric for the back. Reminds me of fireworks that goes perfectly with the flags for the 4th of July… and Memorial Day, Labor Day!

  16. Thank you! I have been wanting to do a patriotic quilt and this is a quick and easy one…. love red, white and blue!
