Quilters are all about community. We quilt together, see quilts with each other, and we mostly love to support fellow quilters how ever we can. Today I have quite a few topic so watch my podcast, read about all the activities and download this week's pattern at the end!

Today is the Great Community Give and I would love if you joined me in supporting the Virginia Quilt museum today. They have a wonderful set of levels for giving.
All of our support will keep the museum going to educate and teach the past and current history of quilting. The museum has world wide reach with it's virtual talks and classes, isn't that amazing to think about? Of course you can visit in person too at Harrisonburg VA!
And when you donate in the power hour between 1-2pm your name goes into a drawing to win a mini quilt!

Yes, please keep showing your crumb blocks. Looks like a fun and easy project to have. You could do them as leaders and enders.
I love your videos and how you make us think about different things to do while quilting. I like the crumb block ideas. I’ve never tried anything like that but think it might be something to try with 6yo granddaughter. I have been saving odd size pieces in box for her as she likes to pin things together but after she’s done with school I may work with her to start some sewing like that. She can’t get it wrong!!!
Thank you, Pat for the daily videos and quilting inspiration! I enjoy watching everyday. I like the topics and the challenges as well. Love your Morrison Park Fabric! I have wanted to make the string quilt blocks & Selvage edge quilt. I will need to collect my fabric scraps from my storage boxes. Fabric is so beautiful and I do not like to throw away the scraps. I remember when quilter’s made crum blocks using newspapers and muslin as a foundation. Love this new way! Have a wonderful day! Thank you, Pat.
Love today’s block and the illustration on how color selections had an impact on the design. That was a great discussion on about your crumb blocks. Although there were some drawbacks by limiting fabrics to specific project leftovers, the big take away for me was how many blocks were constructed. Despite color challenges it looks like there could be enough blocks by the defined end for another quilt, especially if some creative sashing is added. If the process is not inspiring it’s probably not an activity to pursue. Find someone who thrives on crumbs & pass along the fabric. It’s too precious to discard.
Pat, I approach piecing the crumb blocks very much the way you do. The key is to stay on top of it, because with the volume of sewing we do, they accumulate quickly. I usually put my blocks into charity quilts. Pieces of fabric and batting that are too small go into doggie beds.
I love seeing the crumb blocks they are so fun keep showing us. I am saving my pieces now🧵🧵
Love the Crumb Chatter! I have been making crumb blocks or “building fabric” with crumbs and strings for years and it makes my heart happy! Glad to see you sharing this technique to others.
The back 2/3 of our attached garage has been renovated into my son’s bedroom, so the front 1/3 has become what we call our workshop. It is not a place of treasures, but a place for seasonal machines (lawnmower and snowblower) and our big deep freeze, plus his tools. It is very much a man place.
I really don’t have a treasure place in this house. All spaces are pretty much used. It’s a very small, cozy place that we call home.
Pat,
Just love this group and all the patterns. My question is how many different fabrics are you using for the “HOME IS..”? I am a weird egg and like everything to match. Trying to break out of that. UGH!! I have not started yet this series yet but plan too when I get the last couple of projects for other done. Thanks a bunch.
Melissa
My garage has my car, & around the perimeter it has garden equipment, & seasonal
totes. We do have 2 garages, but hubs uses one for his woodworking projects.
It’s OK cause we only have one car!!!!
