  1. I have my Mother’s china from the late 40’s but don’t use it very often. Afraid it will get broken .

  2. Hi, I own fancy dishes. I saw them at my father´s house. He and my grandmaother ownde a full set and a few variations of teh sets. It is a very old set from Rosenthal in Germany. I got my set as wedding gifts from the family. We just used it for fancy meals, but I decided to use it every day. I really love the dishes. Myy brother started to collect this kind of dishes at ebay. So the tradition goes on.

  3. I have 2 sets, one that were selected when I got married and I have a set of pink depression ware that my grandmother and great grandmother collected, I use those at Christmas

  4. I have my mother’s fancy dishes and my grandmother’s fancy dishes. I used them for Thanksgiving three years ago. The next year my sister wanted to host, and then there was a pandemic so we didn’t have company. I would use them more often if they were in my cupboard. 🙂

  5. We have fancy dishes, a set that was given to us at our wedding that my brother bought in Japan when he was in the Navy. We use them for company. I also have a cut glass pitcher and glasses that are very special to me. They were a gift to my grandparents at their wedding. I use the pitcher for company dinners.
Pat you amaze me at how you have grown your videos with the addition of photos and taped episodes to enhance what you are teaching us. You are a great teacher. Thank you.

  6. Fancy dishes? Yes I used to have a whole bunch of what is called, “Thousand Eyes” that I just loved. Bought almost all of it with my S&H Green stamps! I sure miss them but we seriously downsized and so they went. But, life goes on and we must too which is fine.
Used to have some wonderful clear glass antique dishes which also went to new homes.
hugs to you with blessings, Dottie

  7. Oh Yes I have 2 sets of fancy dishes. At our old house in Illinois we always
hosted all the big celebrations. Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Since the move
to Kentucky we have had only one big get together. I would love to pass the china
to my granddaughters but now days everything seems so casual. How Sad.
