Block #7 is The Bank.  Big Banks, Small Banks. We even have a bank in our grocery store!  I tell you about my 'special' banker moments and people in the pattern. Are you a banker? Know one?

Do you even go to the bank anymore or do it all by direct deposit and the money machine? Banking sure has changed

I'm having such fun with the General Store fabric. I have to sew this one up, maybe tonight

For my Cheeky block for this week I went with a different intensity of colors by using very light blue so that the yellow pops. This makes the block look much different than it does in the country store fabric. It's fun to make the blocks up in different intensity of fabric choices, to highlight different parts of the block.   Someday it would be interesting to do a the same block in repeat and change where the colors go. You learn a lot this way about how to use your fabric.

  1. I’m catching up!!! I adore the cheeky fabric. My bank is the state employee credit union they have no regular bank sites. It’s all on line and done per phone call. It enables them to give some nice perks.

  2. When I opened the block 7 it came up as .dpp instead of PDF. So I couldn’t save it. Is there a way to get it back to PDF?

  3. My sewing room is one of my grown kids bedrooms. I have shelves in the 5 foot closet with plastic boxes full of fabric. I have a Rubbermaid tote full of scraps in the floor of the closet. My husband fashioned me a cutting table with ikea stacked tables making shelves with castors is hat let it roll. I have a giant cutting mat on half and an ironing surface on the other. I see on an ikea table that is 5 feet. My room is often a big creative mess. Occasionally I tidy it up but I’d rather sew than clean anytime. I have pegboard on the wall with my rulers and mats hanging. I keep a featherweight there and my Eversewn. The kitty shares the room with me.

  4. We bank in a Credit Union for most of our accounts. I do have one of my own accounts at a bank with a satellite office in our town grocery store. I need to keep my fabric money separate 😉 What he doesn’t see he doesn’t know LOL

  5. I opened my first checking account when I started college! Although the bank has changed names over the years I still have that account! The bank is still in the same bulding. Which is on the National Regestra of historic buildings! It is such a beautiful building as are many of the buildings in what is left of the downtown distric of Syracuse, New York. Not a small town but a beautiful city! Love this block and I have just the right flower and animal for my two color ways!

  6. This is a very fun quilt to do! Thank you for the time you put into all you do! We have in our community a bank where we know everyone. It’s very personal and everyone is friendly.

  7. Thank you for another great block! We have a small town bank in our community which makes it nice for doing any of our banking. Many of the Tellers and the Manager are my friends so I always make time for a little chat when stopping in.
