It’s late November but for Grandma’s kitchen we are in bloom with Block 22/25!

Flowers are the common thread for the women in my family. Most didn’t grow them, but fantastic flowers from neighbors, like my Na-Na… or a deep love for flowers like my mom.
One of my great-grandma’s always had African violet plants, which I loved!
Are you having fun reading my stories and digging deep for your family stories?

The layout.. with only 3 more blocks and we finish!
** NOTE THE SCHEDULE CHANGE ** at our table of blocks. I added the release dates as they are adjusted to fit my travel schedule. I also give you the day I’ll announce what the next sewalong is about!

My grandma had hollyhocks lining one wall of the farmhouse and lots of rhubarb in the backyard. She made rhubarb pies and puddings whenever we were there. So yummy! Thank you for the block and the memories!
Happy birthday Pat. Have a great day celebrating!
How wonderful. Blocks that remind me of my childhood at my Grandparents home. Absolutely love these. Also great way to use my mom’s fabric scrap stash I got when she died.
My granny had flowers and vegetables. She also had a honeysuckle vine that was right beside the porch. You could swing on the porch swing and smell the honeysuckle. Granny’s water came from a windmill, there fore not much water pressure.
hola Pat Sloan. Mi abuela materna que murió cuando yo tenía 5 años la encantaban las flores. Tenía un rosal muy grande rojo, geranios, alhelís, claveles y dentro de casa alpidistras. Me traen muchos recuerdos esas flores. Es un bloque precioso. Saludos.
Oh, I love this one. My Grandma Yost, Pearl, loved flowers and besides her vegetable garden she had many flowers. Almost a block long lilac hedge, Roses, Poppy’s, Daisies, lavender, flags and this list goes on. Including bleeding Hearts. Love this block. But I think my favorite was the big red/orange poppy with yellow and black center on a strong green stem and a good sized plant right at the front porch. I can see it now. Rosie
