Board Games!

Sometimes the block comes about because of a memory or something I'm doing, like block 18 is 'On the Go' and I was traveling.

Block 19 'Board Games' started as I was designing another of the larger blocks. I wanted to put the stars and all of a sudden I could just 'see' a board game table in my mind.

That lead me to thinking about all the fun board games I liked to play as a kid, and one game in particular was more about the 'board' than the playing.. you can read about it in the pattern.

…….keep reading to see my finds this week…

Being a larger block, you can put just a few in repeat to grow a quilt quickly! As a scrap buster the strip sets are awesome units to use up a lot of scrap strips you have from making the other blocks. If you are not into that, substitute a stripe or a gorgeous print.. or maybe a tonal and showcase your quilting in that area. Think creatively and do what works for your fabrics.

  7. Looking forward to making this block, it looks fun! It is amazing how I started with 2 fat quarter packs that I really didn’t have any plans for and wasn’t sure if I even liked them, but I liked the colors……….and now…….it has grown into a quilt that I look forward to working on each week, adding in new material as I go. Thank you Pat, for teaching us so much and involving us in your process!
