  1. Just finished my April Stay at home top! I am not sure if I did something wrong, but my dimensions ended up 47×56. No matter, still fun, and I like it. Thanks, Pat!

  2. Hi Pat,
Saw your latest video and heard you are looking for Baking Yeast. Check out “Breadtopia.com” (Saf-yeast, $5.95 for 16 oz bag). Thanks for the videos. -Sandy

  3. I learned to quilt from a church group. My first would was a strip heart. We started at 6:00pm. Ate and sewed all night. 2:00am danced and ate ice cream. Bowls of candies were by each persons space. We had drawings throughout the night morning. At 6:00am we packed up and all went to a local restaurant for breakfast. This was 30 years ago, I will never forget.

  4. I am not sure where to comment about your gift give away. But will try here.
The ruler I use most is my 6” x 14 “ . It is not too long for my small space and yet the right size for
Good size cuts! It would be great to get a package in the mail since I am not going anywhere for awhile.
    Enjoying your daily video’s!

  5. I really like the blue stripe dashing better than the blue fabric you chose originally, it’s lovely as cornerstones I agree it makes the blocks look fun and that’s what we need at the moment, to much doom and gloom around the kids you Pat for making the morning lighter. Keep safe and well you and the packing department xx Louise from WA in Australia

  6. hello Pat from Canada can you please tell me where I can find the book to charming baby quilts in
    Canada….
thank you I would really love to do the quilt along

  7. I’m in NYC and sewing face masks nonstop. I listen to Audible books and hope to start a new quilt soon. I will go back to the Splendid Sampler for baby quilt ideas!

  8. I like the sashing of the med blue.
That’s just my thoughts on your quilt!!!
    For what it’s worth!
Love your challenges! And love your videos! God bless.

  9. Thank you for all the inspiration! My sewing room is clean and organized now and I’ve started my first sew along. I don’t get a lot of time to myself since I watch my grandson who is 16 months and at the end of the day I don’t want to do much but when I’m home I’m sewing everyday.

  10. I’m really excited about the April Stay at Home quilt along. At first I thought I’m not sure I have special fabric until I looked at my scrap stash. Those special fabrics I remember making quilts from each hold a memory. Thanks so much for all you do for this community!

  11. Getting started on the “Stay at Home 2020”. Going with a Christmas theme to get some of my stash cleared:)

  12. Beverly, Did you know that You Tube offers many free audio books? I’ve been enjoying several Amish fictions lately.

  13. I usually watch my favorites — Friends in the morning and early afternoon then transition to Blue Bloods in the late afternoon. I’m currently binge watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix.

  14. Hi, I do not have a scissor fetish but I do have a favorite pair of small (embroidery I think)that stays close to the sewing machine for cutting threads.
My daughter would love your red glasses. She loves red! thanks for the Cray March and April Act.they do help with the staying at home business. We get to learn or hear about something every day thanks to you!

  15. I watch your YouTube postings and other quilting programs. I can’t watch, only listen as if I watched, I’d never get much done. Not good at multitasking. 🤣

  16. Good morning, the Sun is out and we need it here in the mountains. Its been crazy week so far with a shooting, snowing for 3 days and a earthquake. So we welcome the sunshine today and pray for peace today. I love the sew ideas I have some great fabric in my stash to use. I’m teaching my grandson to sew online today than I can get some sewing done for myself. God bless you have a great day.

  17. Apparently, I’m in. You just gave me an idea with that octopus…I might even have to make two quilts…we’ll see… Thanks, Pat!

  18. Thank you for your daily visit into my home during this time of crisis in the world. You have been a bright light. Yo asked what the last sewing thing I bought was and it was fabric needed to complete one of my covid 19 quilts. I’ve been making face masks non stop but now it’s time to take a break to work on a quilt. Stay safe! Love from Toronto Canada.

  19. I love that you were there every morning as I turned on You Tube. Thank you. I know it is a lot of extra work for you. As I sew, I listen to podcasts on Tune In. When I tire of that, I’ll put on a show I have watched. Mostly because I want to hear people talking. However, silence is welcome for a little while as well.

  20. Looking forward to the Stay Home Sew Along. I know exactly what fabric I want to use. It’s a line that features houses in various hues of browns and blues. Bought it years ago but could never decide what to use it for. Now I hope it’s where I think I put it!! I like to check out a series of dvds from my library and binge watch while sewing.

  21. Fireside Chat 30 question … Last quilting item I purchased was actually your Splendid Sampler book. Looking forward to making good use of it!

  22. I like to listen to music when I sew or quilt. Music helps me establish a rhythm when I am quilting. I am very eclectic when it comes to my music taste. I listen to county western, 50s and Do wop, cajun and zydego depending on my mood.

  23. Pat, you are such an inspiration to me the way you use your creative outlet to reach out to others and create a sense of community. Thanks for all you do!

  24. Love your website and the variety of things you bring to the table! So glad I’m a subscriber to be able to get new videos as they are posted. Because, I’m ME, I need to concentrate when starting a new pattern, I usually listen to soft music in the background. After the initial steps, my favorite country songs are in HIGH gear!
Absolutely love the March Madness activities; looking forward to April Activities. Thanks!

  25. Pat- Thanks so much for being such an inspiration and for projecting such positivity during these crazy times. Depending on the day or time, I will watch youtube videos on quilting, crafts, or books. I enjoy audiobooks as well as sometimes binge watch a series. Currently into some of the British Mystery Series.

  26. Thank you for your great encouragement during this time.
I live in RV full time working at various Christain camps
across the US. So it is such a great idea about your
sewing projects since we are stuck at camp site. My table
is up and sewing project is getting started like this idea
memory quilt for this historical event.
Love to listen to music while sewing.

  27. Hi Pat! I’ve got my Charming Baby Quilts book, my download, and I ordered my fabric for the baby sampler quilt along. I can’t wait!!

  28. I think I’m ADD….or something like that. I can sew with music, movies, TV, quilting videos, U-Tube, OR complete silence!!!! It just depends on my mood, or how long I have sequestered myself to my room! Thank you, Pat, for all you do to entertain, inspire, share, and keep us sane!

  29. I don’t like to ‘watch’ anything while I sew. However, I have brought in a laptop for this Stay At Home period to continue watching a tv series that I started when I broke my ankle in Dec. Otherwise, I try to not get addicted to any tv watching anytime. I listen to my 70’s music while sewing. The Eagles are great for machine quilting. I like to listen to my thoughts while sewing. There’s no room to pay attention to dialogue.

  30. I watch utube videos on how to use rulers I bought and forgot how to use and also patterns I am having problems with. I like learning new things recipes, rock painting, christian sayings and crochet instructions.

  31. I can’t find my comment from yesterday so…..
I don’t have a TV in my sewing room so I listen to audiobooks.
We have an open concept living/dining/kitchen. If my husband is home (which he almost always in these days!) and I am tying a quilt at the dining room table, we usually listen to music….Solid Gold Oldies!!!

  32. I stumbled onto your crazy quilter March on Day 8 and promptly viewed the first seven days and have watched ever since that day.
You are an amazing person/quilter. Thanks so much for your fun filled sessions; keep up the great work!

  33. I don’t normally watch nor listen to anything. This is my wind-down time, thinking time, and get away from family and commitments time. I need this quiet solitude for regeneration of my mind and spirit. Thanks for asking such a loaded question 😉 xoxoxoxo

  34. Starting tomorrow I will be home for at least 3 weeks on a voluntary work furlough. On the brightside I get to do the April challenge & sew a long 🙂

  35. Bless you Strawberry Pat!! I’m glad to see you Adt sage & well, sending out prayers for all our sewing hosts and home quilting businesses!! That’s you Pat… ❤️
Thanks for all the extra effort to keep us busy and happy! I pray for seeing friends… keep your heads up, GOD be with you!! It won’t last forever. Love ❤️
    Jan Ward

  36. I’ve spent my shelter in place time sewing face masks for our local hospital along with members of our guild I recruited. While I sew I listen to country music on tv or listen to/watch movies I’ve recorded from the Hallmark channels. I too love the old series that I’ve seen before like Murder She Wrote or Diagnosis Murder.

  37. I like to listen to preaching online while I sew. It keeps me grounded in in God’s Word and also reassures me during times like this. Thanks for asking.

  38. Like to watch cooking shows and reruns or recorded PBS airings of sewing shows like Quilt in a day and Sewing with Nancy.

  39. I only have music is my sewing room – jazz, opera, classical, popular (Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Boston, Elton John), Broadway.
I do hand quilt in my comfy chair in the family room-and I have some favorite series that I don’t have to watch to follow along anymore : Friends, Seinfeld, How I Met Your Mother, Homeland, Outlander, True Blood. TCM – classic movies (I have to save the foreign language ones – because I don’t read subtitles and quilt well). I binge watch when my husband isn’t home. He rolls his eyes at my choices…but we do agree on Home Improvement Shows, Car Auctions, Formula One Racing, old movies, Discovery Channel, History Channel and Smithsonian. When the Mechum Auto Auction gets boring for me (one Mustang after another or other American Muscle Car/Hot Rod) – I retreat to the sewing room.

  40. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You…
Pat you cannot imagine how much your videos and Facebook group is helping me to keep it together during these challenging times.
I am not getting nay sewing done at the moment, but hearing your cheerful voice and knowing that you are continuing to give to the quilting community your knowledge and sharing your talent helps to ground me.
I do not watch nor listen to anything when I sew. I like the hum of the machine and the rhythm of activity.
Being in Canada, I have learned that receiving anything in the mail from the US is challenging right now, so I truly appreciate your giving of your pattern.
I am thinking this would make a great eye spy quilt for my new grandson. I am not sure that I have 30 different novelty prints to use for the centres, but I will see what I can manage.

  41. I like to watch Hallmark while w but also watch Netflix. Right now Netflix and it is a series called Anne with an E. Than you for all of you ideas a fun sew alongs. O have so much energy and get so much accomplished. Fun stuff

  42. I do have a TV in my quilt room, but most of the time, I’m listening to music. There’s a great oldies station that I love.
