Childhood Memories #9, Cheerful Block A Day, Do you have a pig?

Welcome March!!! I love when March arrives, spring is not that far off, I can feel it in my bones. It is also Block a day month! I started this in March of 2020 to get us though that month, continued it in March 2021, and 2022, and now it's a tradition! Same block made with different fabric each day in March.

When I was working on another project i realized I had everything to do a deep dive into why I use leaders and enders.  Hope you enjoy it!

  1. Hi Pat I am just playing catch up and find block 4 in Childhood memories is unreadable and when i try to download it from your web site i get unavailable try again in a few minutes but after over an hour i am still getting the same message Please help..

  2. Is there a chance we could get yardage requirements for the blocks and/or different quilt sizes? I’m a very new quilter and want to make sure I purchase enough fabric for a full quilt. Thank you!

  3. I had to order more background fabric…twice! I honestly think I misplaced the first reorder of it and ordered more. How do you lose 2 yards of fabric?! While I didn’t have to order more jolly bars, I got down to last 4 blocks (I’m working ahead) and had to get frugal with my blocks. You need 2 of each jolly bar for each part of the last few blocks. And if you don’t pay attention, you don’t have 2 of each, or at least I didn’t.

  4. I purchased a layer cake, Happy Days from Moda, at the Fat Quarter Shop, to make the Jolly Bar 4 top. I thought I was being fugal with my fabric, but I have had to order more. Has anyone else had this problem?

  5. Working on another project at the same time is a great idea without clipping threads. THANKS for sharing!

  6. For the March block a day, is there a total yardage for the bigger portion of the block? It says to use different backgrounds, but I’d like to make the quilt with just 2 fabrics. I think I have enough to do it, but want to make sure. To clarify my question a bit more, where you have the pink in your first block.
