  1. I use neutrals and colors for piecing–kinda whatever I have. For applique and longarming, I choose thread colors based on the quilting design and not necessarily the same color for back and front. For applique, it’s blend into the applique the best. 🙂

  2. Great giveaways! Love the neutral thread colors, great for hand applique and hand quilting. Thank you for all you tips, ideas, and inspiration! Love your videos. Coffe and your video first thing in morning.

  3. I love love neutral colors!!! The only time I use colors is for appliqué and binding. But for piecing, it’s neutrals all the way! Aurifil is the best! My machine loves it too.

  4. It would be lovely to try Aurifil threads – I generally use neutrals but did a scrappy string quilt using all colours, used up lots of random spools! Thanks for being so generous to your quilt community.

  5. I buy colors that I need and keep extra neutrals on hand. What a real to have a box of colored thread to choose from!

  6. I buy mostly neutrals but like to have some colors on hand when I need to match. I find with piecing quilts, neutrals are best and easiest.

  7. I love color! So thread colors are great and I have many to choose from when I need. Especially machine appliqué.

  8. Thank You Dear Pat.
I finally found the “right spot”
    You have such patience.
    I so appreciate you.
Hoping to win; an iron, roll of batting or anything else you’re offering.
    Have a Great Day

  9. I do love vibrant colors but for piecing I usually use a white or light gray. For hand appliqué I like to match thread to fabric.

  10. When I started quilting a few years ago I was told to use Aurifil as it was the best, so I do. Use neutrals to piece and love the variegated for topstitching. Congratulations on your anniversary and thank you for this opportunity.

  11. Aurifil thread is absolutely my thread of choice. Someday I hope to have as much thread as Pat Sloan. Thank you again having an opportunity for the international audience.

  12. I have not used Aurifil thread yet. I use neutrals most of the time, so this would be a great way for me to get to try this thread out.

  13. Aurifil is the only thread I use to piece my quilts. I love this thread and a neutral set would be awesome to win!

  14. I love all the beautiful thread colors
I haven’t tried the variegated threads yet, but after seeing how the pancakes finished so perfectly, I really want to try some new colors.
Thank you Pat for sparking creativity

  15. I love many thread colors. During COVID I made masks and had matching thread for all the different colored masks I made.

  16. My go to threads are Aurifil Threads! I normally buy neutrals for piecing my tops but buy the occasional colors for appliqué. Wondering if they make larger cones for my long arm?!

  17. I have never tried aurifil threads. This would be a great opportunity to try them! I usually just use neutrals but who couldn’t use more color in their lives? I love your quilt alongs and watching your utube.
    Congratulations on 10 years! 🙂

  18. You are helping me recover from knee replacement, so many things to sew when I am able to get back in my sewing room.

  19. My machine is such an AURIFIL snob and doesn’t like anything else in my thread box….so I need them all!
    Neutrals plus colors are used

  20. I love Aurifil thread and have a variety of their colors. It is pretty much the only thread I use to quilt and bind with.
