My daughter has thanksgiving at her home and invites 40-50 people. Everyone brings a side dish. She has the perfect house for entertaining as she has 5 acres. The kids love, love, love running around and playing games. We are German and would love to win the cookies!
Walking into my Mom and Dad’s house on Thanksgiving and smelling red cabbage – a German dish that only my Mom seems to like! Although we avoid the red cabbage, the turkey and the rest of the dishes are terrific. Just getting together is the best.
Those cookies remind me of home – any tin or mix of cookies would be fine. A taste of home is what it would be!
Our tradition for Thanksgiving is to have ALL the fixings! MMM!
Our Thanksgiving tradition weaves in my Italian culture, so the menu always includes stuffed mushrooms, artichokes, and Italian cookies on the dessert tray. As a child, we always went to my grandmother’s house for Thanksgiving so these foods remind me of those wonderful holidays with family. I’d love some of your chocolate cookies to add to this year’s buffet. Thank you, Pat for all you do to support Quilters.
Our Thanksgiving Tradition, that has been happening my whole life, is like many of these others, involve lots of family, food, kids everywhere, now sometimes we play games or bingo after dinner! Our group has gotten so large we have to go have Thanksgiving dinner at my Aunts Church Gym! We don’t fit in a house anymore! Some years it’s close to 50 of us all at one time! We do Christmas the same way! I would like to win the cookies just to see what they taste like! I do like trying new things and learning of traditions and life in other places!
Please enter me in the cookie giveaway. Thank you!
Love the cookie tins – especially the one with the woodland animals! My youngest granddaughter’s favorite animal is foxes, so she would love that tin.
Love the cookies, pick me!! My family tradition is to have all my children (6) and grandchildren (9) home for the day. We have a big traditional turkey dinner then we play games until late at night usually some of the kids spend the night with grandpa and grandma which warms our heart.
Thanksgiving is all about people, relationships and time together.
Our Thanksgiving tradition is inviting as many people as possible: family, friends, college students who can’t get home, etc.
My favorite is that my family meets up on a family homestead. The farmhouse dinner we’ll have a lot of what was grown or butchered on our ranch.
GM, Pat. What lovely Block Wed. quilts you showed! I would love to taste & I’m sure enjoy the cookies. My husband was half German so I’d like to try them. My family will be here for Christmas & I could share them in memory of their father/grandfather. Thanks for all your programs & tips & encouragement.
Our Thanksgiving tradition is fried sweet potatoes. My mother always made them at Thanksgiving and I am carrying on the tradition.
My favorite thanksgiving tradition is cooking for the family….and now extended family….and we try to “rope in” a few non-related too! Every year (except Covid) it’s the regulars and different faces at the table. It’s my husband’s favorite holiday for just that reason. I’d love to win a cookie tin. I ordered my own cookies in the black and white tin. I loved the product so much I am sending tins to far away family for Christmas. Thank you for all the good leads you give us! Happy Thanksgiving.
Our Thanksgiving tradition centers around food and using recipes we have come to love over the years. We also enjoy a Thanksgiving hash to use up leftovers.
add my name to the cookie giveaway…thx for the National Parks quilt pattern you are my favorite pattern writer.
My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is having family together and enjoying noon meal with homemade yeast rolls and all the trimmings.
My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is making pumpkin pies with fresh pumpkins. The cookie tins are beautiful, would love to win one.
Our Thanksgiving tradition is to have lunch with Granny – now 95 and eat cornbread dressing.
For years we have gathered at my MIL’s house. She would make turkey, ham, mashed and sweet potatoes, & homemade dressing. I would take a pink salad made of crushed pineapple, sour cream, strawberry/banana jello, pecans, and cool whip because she liked my salad. Then, I would take a dessert I was hungry for. After the meal we would do the dishes by hand and play idiot bridge or dominoes. Sometimes my husband and oldest son would go feed cows then come back and we would play games more and eat left overs. One year we were sitting at the table eating Thanksgiving and the electricity zapped and went out. Long story short, the electric company had to come out and get it going. A squirrel had gotten on the line and gotten fried.
No special traditions for Thanksgiving. Get together for a good meal and time to catch up.
Hi Pat,
Thanks for all the projects that you share with us. Keeps our minds and hands busy.
I would love to win a tin of your friend’s cookies and share it with my family for Christmas.
When I was younger, we gathered at my grandparents house. Now we celebrate at my parents.
We play games and talk, talk, talk. And hope for nice weather so that we can spill out onto the patio. Happy thanksgiving everyone.
Our Thanksgiving tradition is to go to Grandmother’s house for a big meal and then go to the Christmas Light Show, and then back to Grandmother’s for pie!
Our tradition is getting together enjoying good food and each other.
Our Thanksgiving tradition is to have the same menu every year. This year there will only be three at the table but I will still make the whole meal and two pies, one a pumpkin because you have to have pumpkin pie. The other is always apple because my son doesn’t like pumpkin. Thanks for the opportunity!!
Our Thanksgiving tradition is to cook knedliki, Czech potato dumplings, to go with our Thanksgiving turkey.
I watch all your videos. You and I drink my coffee in the morning together. Please enter me in your generous giveaway. I have wanted to try these cookies. Bless you and Greg!
I love chocolate! Any one of those tins would be appreciated.
We have family over and have the traditional turkey dinner. Then then men watch football. I use watch loosely because they really just nap all afternoon! Haha!
No special Thanksgiving tradition. Just the usual. Family , turkey, dressing. And pie!!
I would love to try those cookies. My favorite Thanksgiving day was 50 years ago. I was planning my first Thanksgiving with my in-laws, but my son had other ideas. That day I gave birth to an 8lb turkey. I think I was Blessed that day.
Our family (it is rather small) gets together for our traditional meal and then a walk in the woods for the ladies afterwards. It will be different this year as five of us will be out of the country leaving only six and they have decided against fixing the big meal and will enjoy crab cakes instead.
Thank you for a chance to win the cookies. Those tins are so pretty.
Getting together with all family is our tradition.
Our family tradition on Thanksgiving is cooking together. It brings us closer before we have our meal. And then we play games together afterwards. My daughter always brings an Italian bead called Panettone. That is her favorite part because everyone loves it.
Watching the Macy’s Parade and grazing until the turkey is ready. Would love the cookies.
Gathering with family is our Thanksgiving tradition
Thanksgiving is special to me because my favorite son was born on that day….and he’s my only son, LOL.
I would love to win these cookie. We were stationed in Germany with the US Air Force for 3 years. We enjoyed all the cookies and pastries there. Our Thanksgiving tradition is just to try and all be together to share a good meal and catch up with everyone.
My daughter hosts Thanksgiving every year and invites family and friends and people she happens to know just a little so there is always a different group of people to celebrate with. Her generosity and inclusivity warms my heart.
A Thanksgiving tradition in my family is a game of sandlot baseball after the meal and the cleanup. Always fun!
Our Thanksgiving tradition is our turkey stuffing that has been handed down by word of mouth, never found in any cookbook!
My Thanksgiving tradition is making sweet potato casserole and pies. I always make a couple of pumpkin pies and a pecan pie. I hope I am lucky enough to win a tin of cookies. The tins are as pretty as the cookies are delicious.
Turkey!,,,
Thanksgiving in our family mainly is the meal, regardless of the day. We’ve celebrated on a different day within the week in order to gather everyone who works different schedules. Much more important to include everyone than to celebrate on the actual day.
My Birthday is Christmas 12/25/39. I would love a can of cookies as a Birthday present.
We love getting together with family for turkey and all the sides. Those cookies sound amazing. I’d try to try the chocolate ones please. I like all the tins.
Would love to win this tin of cookies.
