  1. I started using a monthly planner in April and I feel it keeps me on track and I get more accomplished. Thanks for a chance to win.

  2. I am a planner. I learned long ago that if I write it down, it is more likely to happen and get done. Using a journal type planner helps me to keep perspective on what is possible and reminds me of my progress.

  3. When I started using a “sewing planner” a couple of years ago the purpose was accountability for my time and resources. Now down the road the planner has become an invaluable tool for (my) life. I keep lists for shopping, errands, menus on a sticky note for that week that I toss out when done. I make notes on planner page, of the positive things I do, get done, or try whether its a sewing cooking or personal. These are useful notes to myself that I find myself refering back to over and over again. One stop planning in my very sewing centric life!

  4. Using a planner keeps me on track with projects. As I frequently need to stop a project and put it away I need to know where I left off and what needs to be done next.

  5. Planners keep me on track. If I didn’t use a planner I would start a project and then see something else and would want to start that without finishing my original project. Planner let’s me know if I have time for a quick supplemental project.

  6. The thing I like about planners is that you have a written place to put your goals and the steps to achieve those goals. I also like to reflect on what I have accomplished. I love to check off things to do too.

  7. My favorite part of using a planner is that it keeps you on track and gives you a visual reminder of what needs to get done. I am a life long learner and have had management positions in the past. The planners always kept me abreast of projects needed for school meeting times, conferences etc. To be honest I have e ever used a planner for quilting or cross-stitching so perhaps it’s time to carry organizational skills to the next level!

  8. My favorite part of using a planner, is going back and reviewing all that I’ve worked on in years past!

  9. My favorite part of a planner is the security it gives me when doing my projects as I don’t have to feel or experience more senior moments. I’m 70 and have a chronic kidney disease and my senior moments are more and more frequent. A planner is my security blanket,

  10. I have been living by a planner for 30 years or so. I love to have 1 place to organize and keep track of my life and the goings on of my family. I mark in our monthly sewing days for the year so nothing gets scheduled in that slot. Just joined your group. Love the daily videos.
Per your discussion today about extra space for display. I purchased a 4×8 sheet of insulation board at Home Depot and covered it with warm and white batting. You can cut it down to 6’ if you need smaller size. It’s lightweight, portable and you can put it on the floor and lean it against your wall. It won’t interfere with your outlet. I take mine all over the house depending on what I’m working on. Pam B

  11. My favorite part of using a planner is marking through or checking off things I have completed. Sometimes I will add things I have done just so I can mark them off. Sooo satisfying!

  12. Planners really help to keep me on top of my schedule. Now that I am a senior citizen, it’s way too easy to forget an appointment or meeting or something I promised to do. Thank goodness for calendars where you can see at a glance what’s up next.

  13. My favorite part about using a planner is that it keeps me focused. It is very easy for me to become distracted. A planner is a gentle reminder that helps reel me in when my mind decides to go onto new projects before I finish the old.

  14. I would love to have a planner so that I can get a handle on all of my UFOs. Too many!! Getting them in a list and what has to be done to get my quilts completed would be a great help.

  15. My favorite part of a planner is that it’s a memory aide! I list projects I want to start and update progress on my WIPs. Not to mention noting dates to sign up for retreats☺️

  16. my favorite part of using a planner is it shows me what i need to get from my stash or need to buy to finish a quilt and to let me know which one I need to get working on & where i am in the progress 😃 I’m a list person lol I write everything done, monthly bills, groceries list, shopping list etc

  17. I Like using planners because they help me stay organized and I save them and like to look back at them to see what I accomplished during that year.

  18. Using a planner keeps me so organized. I can keep track of the fabrics I’ve used and the deadlines I have to meet to finish my project. My favorite thing is that by the end of the year I am able to look back and see all I have accomplished and what I still have to do. It’s my little quilting diary.

  19. My favorite part of using a planner to to see all the things I have coming up to sew and then be able to check off the FINISHED block!

  20. My favorite part of using a planner will be to be able to keep track of the 30??ish unfinished projects that I have. I really need to start the catch-up game. Has been an unproductive year thus far, I need to get going!! Thank you for this

  21. My favorite part of using a planner is simply the fact that it gives me a plan! I’m very much a little planner and always make lists and looking ahead to what’s coming and needs to be planned for! It helps me create lists, etc.

  22. Planners – love them, even now when I’m retired with more free time, I still use a planner and a large calendar. My planner keeps me better organized, able to see my open slots (for adding in more fun), and I can look back to view my accomplishments, and those darn WIPS (so they don’t get forgotten.). My favorite thing about planners is that it makes it so easy to stay on top of “stuff” in one place.

  23. I love a planner to see what I’ve accplished over time, and how life changes my plans and productivity.

  24. There are two things that I love about using a planer. 1) I don’t have to fret a about forgetting what I want to do. 2) Using a beautiful and well laid out planner makes it a pleasure/joy to keep my planner up to date!

  25. I haven’t used a planner before but would like to try it. It may be just what I need to get organized. I sure need that.

  26. Organizing is something I’m trying to get done in my home. A planner would help me with that as well as my quilting goals.

  27. A planner makes me see what I actually accomplish each day. We do so many tasks and rarely get recognized for the mundane but necessary tasks. A pretty planner makes it even more fun to check off a list! Thanks for the chance to win!

  28. I don’t have a favorite part about using a planner because I have never had one. I just have a typed list of WIP projects that I need to get done.

  29. My favourite part of using a planner is being able to put my brain on paper and keep me inline. I can plan projects for my small group of volunteers and to track of where we are up to and how many projects have been completed, how many donations have been received in the way of knitted blankets and finished quilts and to keep track of how many Hugs (quilts & blankets) we have sent to Poland for Ukrainians displaced by war. It will also allow me to organise group workshops and keep track of special dates as well as who is available when with what skills. Then it will be a great reflection on the acheivements accomplished throughout the year. <3 🙂

  30. Honestly Pat, I have never used a planner. I have used a journal to write stuff about my projects, but that went to the wayside after we had a house fire. I think I need this to help keep me accountable for the work I have in my sewing/quilting life.

  31. My favorite part of a planner is being able to look back and see how much you’ve accomplished throughout the year. Thank you for your daily videos pat, I never miss them.

  32. My favorite part of a planner is keeping track of all the sew a longs, birthdays and places I need to be!

  33. I use paper sheets as my planner, more of to do lists lined thru when accomplished bu feel this planner would be great to keep better track and accountability purposes. This planner would be used as pink was my mother’s favorite color. I feel it would give me the feeling of having her closer.

  34. My favorite part of using a planner is seeing what has been done and what is still waiting to be done, I put my monthly bills on one and mark them off as I write the check yes I’m still a paper person. Thank you for all that you do for us to learn a skill that isn’t as accessible like when our mother were growing up. All lady set and chatted and made tops or quilted them.

  35. A planner would help me keep better track of my progress on projects, since I work on several at one time.

  36. My favorite part of using a planner is keeping organized something which is a challenge for me, but it is also for me to set goals and break projects down into pieces. If I write it down it is more likely to happen. A planner keeps me from writing things on endless scraps of paper or sticky notes. I can put it in one place and keep it with me. Everything from quilt projects to vacations to Christmas lists are in one place and I know where to go, what I have bought, and what to do!
Thanks for this opportunity to win one! I need it!

  37. I would love a planner I have 5 or six list and memos going at one time. Keeping a quilting planner would be my safe haven. So often I cheat myself out of quilting time! I would love to mark of my blocks done or bindings finished. Love your calendar.
