  1. I like checking off completed goals. It may be written down, but it can always be pushed ahead if I can’t complete it. But since it’s written down, I won’t forget!

  2. Using a planner keeps me on track. It helps to remind me of things that need to be done, along with important dates coming up (i.e BDays, Holidays, Quilt Shows or classes). It also helps me to focus on what’s the most important things that need to be done, and what i can let go till another day. I love to carry mine in my bag that’s always with me so I can refer to it for things I need. Notes pages are great for attaching swatches of fabric I’m trying to match, and for notes on patterns. It’s also great because I’m a doodler and a “jotter”. I’m always sketching out things, or writing down things I hear or that pop into my head. Beats all the little post-it notes I use to stick everywhere, and then lose!!

  3. I like having a planner because it helps me keep on track with my projects! It’s so easy to get distracted with a new project, check the planner and see if you have time to fit it in!

  4. I need to get organized and I would like to try a planner. I try filling out your pages but lose them I think having a planner would keep it together and would be like a book to be able to find. I love all your tips and I do have a clapper and use it when I think about it. I have to sew in two different rooms so I have to move accessories back and forth. Please consider me for the planner Thank you Peggy

  5. Love planners for organizing things I need To accomplish and things not to forget. I also Like to look back at last years and see things I need To plan for this year. If you use it for everything, you can look back and see the memories that were made, such as a time and date for a wedding, a birthday oarty and yes, even a funeral. You can just remember to write down that bill you have to pay. They are very handy!

  6. I always used a planner when I was working and felt it kept me organized, and goal oriented. I can see this being beneficial in my quilty life in retirement.

  7. I have not really used a planner before, but I love Lori’s! I think I could be inspired to use this one!!! I need to organize my projects and ideas.

  8. Love being able to see what projects I have on the go and their progress…. wish I could keep myself going on a planner. Haven’t been able to keep one going all year in a long time.

  9. I used one at work. Now i think this one would helpme keep on schedule making my charity quilts.
    Thanks for all you donate!

  10. My favorite part of a planner for quilting projects is being able to be focused on the next task for a project, seeing progress, and making me aware of projects that keep getting ignored. This inspires me to complete or rethink projects. Taking time each month to examine the progress from last month helps me move forward with projects or realize it is no longer something I want to complete.

  11. Planners are so useful in keeping organized. I love looking back to see my accomplishments for the month and year.

  12. What I like about using a planner is to make lists of things that I have in progress or things I want to make. Crossing projects is a great incentive for me to keep crossing things off. I need the motivation and satisfaction of getting things done! Then to look back on the pages to see what I’ve accomplished just makes me want to do more.

  13. I don’t use a planner. I do use a journal I made but more as a record of finished projects. I think I’ll try a planner also!

  14. I’m a list person so checking off or marking through my planned to do lists brings me great joy and a sense of accomplishment. And Bonus if I get something done in addition to my list! I just bought an undated planner and was filling it out through January, with a pen and in my best handwriting, when I realized the week pages went from Monday through Sunday, not Sunday through Saturday. I almost cried because all of my dates were off. So I definitely need a planner, that is already dated, for next year.

  15. Other than keeping my appointments and commitments organised, my favourite part of using my planner is the memory keeper it becomes. I note down when I see or chat to my loved ones, achievements, birthdays, anniversaries, births, deaths and everything in between. Sometimes it’s only a few word, others a few sentences or paragraphs. I love looking back and seeing what I did, who I saw, what I ate etc weeks, months and years before. I also keep track of my quilting group meet ups and my mental health. It’s my external brain that I can take everywhere I go.

  16. A planner would be great for me as I make lists some days on my white board on my refrigerator but I need to have a place to keep my long terms goals and all my appointments in one place to keep me on track. Also would be handy to have when I need to make new appointments so I don’t make two for the same time which I have done before and had to change one of them.

  17. As an older person, I do not remember everything I need to remember. I like the date sections of planners, but I love the extra parts that allow me to write notes.

  18. When I’ve used a planner it has helped me stay on top of things. Keeping me aware of things that need attention now but helps me to know what’s coming up so that I an plan out a plan of action.
    Fun times!

  19. I find a planner helps me not forget the little projects I need to do. Since I am retired, my checkmarked parts/steps of projects/tasks (sewing or non-sewing) makes me feel like I accomplished something that day.

  20. Since I have never had time to use a planner consistently I’m not sure about the answer but I can dream that it will make me more organized like you!! And now that I am retired I can actually use the planner as it is meant to be used!

  21. My favorite part of using a planner is having one place to jot down and track everything from appointments to drinking water! I color code because I love pens and stickers. Lori’s planner is so cute!

  22. My favorite part of using a planner is being able to have all the information in one place instead of several pieces of paper that eventually get misplaced. The dates are there for a great record so U don’t have to try and remember all of them.

  23. Life gets overwhelmingly busy and well laid plans often get sidetracked. How handy it can be to have a planner, where creative ideas and desires are recorded for my ever forgetful mind! The older I get, the more I need a planner!

  24. My favorite thing about using a planner is being being able to look back on quilts I have finished, the size pattern and fabric used.

  25. Ok – so I’ve never actually used a Planner BUT. I do write stuff down that I want to achieve by a certain date and sing it in black and white does make me much more methodical and I do achieve so much more. So maybe a planner would be my next step !

  26. I have never used a planner. But your idea of using it as a journal for next year is a great idea and I would love to try that

  27. I love making lists to see my goals more clearly. A planner gives me both daily goals and long term goals as well.

  28. My favorite part of using a planner is reviewing of all my accomplishments. When working on a project, I also make notes of things I’ve learned. Plus the planner is absolutely beautiful ❤️ Thanks Pat I love your show Sandy

  29. I have to use a planner because if I don’t I forget everything lol. I hated it in the beginning, but now I love being able to go back and see what I did and when. Sometimes I think I use it too much, but I have definitely been kept on track since I started using it.

  30. Another thing that planners are great for is tracking my Babysitting times and days 🙂 and pet meds. I also add in quilting hours, especially for busy ‘life’ weeks! Oh, and the size of Lori Holt’s Planner is perfect to care along! My 2022 planner is about that same size 🙂

  31. I use a planner to keep myself organized! I m retired, but busier than ever! Quilt Club, Pilot International Club, project deadlines, ideas for projects. I d be lost without one. I keep them year to year in case I need to know a detail from the past. Lori Holt’s would be wonderful!

  32. Ive never used a planner but maybe it would help keep me organized. I have lots of ideas but never seem to get them accomplished.

  33. My favorite part of using a planner is definitely organization 😊, I am a very detailed person and I liked to keep track of what I am doing and when, so definitely a planner is a must.

  34. i like planning out my nieces and nephews sporting events and programs! AND QAL days so i don’t forget which day is which!

  35. My favorite part about using a planner is so that I can keep track of my projects and it also gives me accountability. I don’t get lost in what I am supposed to be doing each week. I usually have more than one project going at a time and I break them up into segments so that I don’t get bored with working on just one project. My current system is a small notebook that I write down the project and then when it’s finished , I put the date beside it.

  36. Using a planner helps me stay organized. I like the feature on my phone but I can’t put all the info there.

  37. I would love to win one of Lori Holts planners. What is the best part of a planner keeping all of my projects organized, on track, and checking them off when they are finished! Thanks for bringing us daily videos on all of your many projects and starting our day with a smile!

  38. In my planner I like to note who the quilt is for and why. I plan the quilt write whatever I need for the quilt. If I have more than one quilt going at a time I can look through my planner and buy everything at once to save on shipping. Love working with a planner

  39. My favorite part of a planner is looking back to see what I accomplished! Also giving me help to be more organized! I need that for sure!
