  1. Planners keep me organized and on track to get things done. I’ve used planners for years for keeping my Drs. appointments and other appointments along with Birthdays organized because as I’ve gotten older it keeps from forgetting things.
    .

  2. I use a planner to keep track of appointments (especially when they are scheduled a few months out) and upcoming events, like trips. I like to see a month at a time but use the weekly to write pertinent details . I’m always in search of a planner that is better than the one I have, lol.

  3. My favorite part of using a planner is to be able to browse through what I did or happened in past years. I keep them all. To be able to page through them feels different than accessing an electronic calendar.
Love your All My Stars! Will sew it for my grandchildren.

  4. I like using a planner to motivate me to the next step. It makes me move along in the quilt. It is very satisfying to cross off what you completed for the day. Sometimes I have put too many items on the To Do List and it reminds me to make an achievable goal for a week!

  5. Planners are great! I love to keep track of upcoming events and see daily and weekly progress on my quilts. It’s so cute and pink💕very close to red❤️

  6. I love planners because they encourage me to set goals. If I set goals then I am more likely to achieve those goals. So they encourage me to move toward accomplishments. Plus I get the added bonus of being able to look back and see my year through the planner pages.

  7. The favorite part of using a planner is to have everything all in one place. It keeps me organized and I can see what I need to do.

  8. I love planners because it keeps my life organized! I write lots of notes on quilt supplies and projects so that it is with me when I’m out and about. Can’t live without one!

  9. My favorite part of a planner is simply writing things down. I don’t like electronic planners at all…need a paper planner 🥰

  10. It helps me keep track when I have multiple projects going. Also I can look back and see what I have accomplished.

  11. My favorite part of using a planner is being able to reference my daily accomplishments, appointments, and adventures. It’s truly a daily dairy for me.

  12. My favorite part of keeping a planner is being able to keep track of what I have in the works and putting a big ol’ check mark to show me I’ve completed a project. As most quilters do, I have so many project in progress or projects I want to complete!
Keeping a journal also is a history of when I worked on certain quilts and brings back good (or bad) memories during that time!

  13. The best part of using a planner is seeing your progress. As you mark off the finished projects you get a great feeling of satisfaction which can turn into inspiration for a new start!!
    Thanks Pat!

  14. I love using a planner to keep my life from getting overly complicated. I need to set deadlines for myself or nothing would get accomplished. I have learned to not overplan my days so that I can actually meet some of my goals. The hardest part of retirement was thinking I could always do it tomorrow but I wasn’t doing it “tomorrow “ either.

  15. I find that using a planner keeps me focused and on track. I also like to look back and see what I’ve accomplished for the year.

  16. The pink bee planner is lovely. I enjoy using a planner to keep track of my projects but also to keep track of my water and food intake.

  17. My favorite part of using a planner is it is a great reference down the road to remember when you did things. Pat, I really love watching you daily and aspire to have your level of energy and enthusiasm about everything!

  18. I accomplish much more when I plan ahead of time what I want to get done. It’s also nice to look back and see that I have finished what I set out to do.😊

  19. Best part of using a planner is keeping my projects going towards completion. I sometimes have as many as six projects in some stage of work, piecing and quilting or waiting to be quilted, and it helps keep me accountable.

  20. I haven’t used a planner, but I think I definitely need one. I work on a little if every UFO and never seem to finish anything.

  21. I love to have a planner because I need to see what I need to accomplish in a day, weekly and monthly. Checking off the things to do give me a sense that am getting things done!!! If I do not see it in writtingm then I dilly dally and do not get things done!!!! Thanks for the chance

  22. I use a planner for everyday stuff like Dr’s appointments, birthdays etc. It would be very helpful to have one in my sewing room to keep me on track. I tend to start a project and while working on that I think of next project. Therefore, my mind starts to get jumbled with too much information.

  23. I would love to document what I’ve accomplished in a planner and that would be my favorite thing about it. So often I feel like I don’t accomplish enough – I still work full time and don’t have a lot of sewing time, so this would be such a blessing. Thank you for all of your wonderful inspiration and fun videos. They are great part of my day! Hugs and love to you Pat.

  24. As I strive to be more organized in my sewing room I have found using a planner, which contains not only current projects, work-in-process and future projects but also a comprehensive inventory of what I call stock so I always know what I have plenty of and what I need. I have separate lists for: Large cuts (+1 yd), pre-cuts, scrap system, panels and novelty, books, rulers, notions, tools, patterns, needles, thread, trim, yarn and of course WIP’s and current projects. It took some time for this level of organization but I feel much more comfortable knowing what I have. My husband says I should open a quilt shop!

  25. I like a planner to have a list, to be organized and also to go back to previous projects to review notes when making again.

  26. My favorite part of using a planner is … that I need to start using one! Let me explain. I taught English at the college level, high school, and middle school levels. My entire life was about planning every step. Everything was recorded in a planner, in my lesson plans, in my head, and in my mind. “I dotted every i and crossed every t.” Doing so allowed me the freedom to be ME with my students in my classroom. Once all the requirements were met, I could concentrate on what my students NEEDED me to be and how creatively I could provide the content to make sense (because let’s face it, only 1-2% of students actually want to be in an English or American Literature class). Then major health issues intervened and ended my lovely teaching career – YEARS before I wanted to leave the classroom. I was devastated. My neurologist gave me a list of 12 hobbies and insisted I choose one to keep my hands and feet moving and my mind sharp. I chose quilting because my maternal and paternal grandmothers, as well as my mother-in-law, were all quilters. It was the beginning of a new love for me, and quilting saved my sanity. You see all these cute signs alluding to that idea, but it truly has been a joy for me at a time when my adult identity was yanked away. I’m very slow due to my disability and continuing health issues, but I’ve learned to work at my own pace. My problem now is I love to start too many things and then find it difficult to finish them. I think a planner would once again help free me to actually achieve more. Your comments – like always – have helped point me in this direction. Thanks, Pat!

  27. I lIke to use a planner for several reasons. I keep track of many medical appointments I have. I also try to schedule sewing time, exercise, and social activities! My planner keeps me on time and decreases my anxiety.

  28. I like using planners as a record of what I’ve done that day crafting. I’m not very good at actually doing what I may have planned, much better at recording what got done that day. This is more helpful to me since I bead, quilt, and stitch.

  29. I appreciate the value of day planners. They help me plan and keep track of what I need to do each day. Therefore, I get the quilting I planned to do done and remember appointments at the same time.

  30. I like using an almanac/planner to track my progress in different things. What quilt went where and to whom. When I get done with things. The events for the day- like when lightening split the tree in the neighbors yard or a long lost friend sends me an email. Or other family things- since I live so far away from them- me in Norway and them ALL over the US! ;-D and then at the end of the year, looking over the events and enjoying the happy memories!

  31. My favorite about the planner is that it keeps me organized and on track !! I was never the one to be organized; I was always the desk with a mess and took forever to find anything. So with the planner, I am organized and on track with my projects and but still need something to organize the other side of the sewing life !!! Have a great day !!

  32. I love using a planner, it keeps my brain from being overwhelmed! I use it every night, filling in what happened during the day, future plans and what I expect to get done the next day. I also use it to keep track of my UFO’s, what I finished and upcoming sew a long. Planners keep me sane!

  33. Hello Pat,
This is a beautiful planner – bonus it is one of my favorite colors. I use a planner everyday, I love the way it helps me keep focus and organized. One of my favorite parts of a planner is writing down my daily tasks, I feel I get more done when I do this step. Thank you for all you do! You are an amazing person!

  34. Having a planner is awesome so you have all your sewing notes in the same concise, clear , record!!!
    Organized!!!
    Thank you.

  35. I’m nearly ancient and need all the help I can get in having some sense of organization! A great planner isn’t just nice; it’s essential for me! It looks like this one has everything I could ever need! Thanks for offering this!

  36. My favorite part of using a planner is that it keeps me organized and focused on what I need to get done. Also I love to check things off!

  37. I love using a planner to keep me on track for the day/week/month and so I know what is coming up in my life and the world and don’t miss out on something. I just have to remember to write it down so it does not get missed, which sometimes is the challenge.

  38. My favorite part of using a planner is being able to CHECK OFF MY LIST!
Also, Pat, I love your collection of beautiful blouses you are wearing each day!

  39. My favorite thing about using a planner is having a place to make my lists. I swear if I don’t write down my chores, shopping lists, projects, etc…..I forget everything! Also like the calendar to write down appointments.

  40. I live in independent living community and each day is filled with activities! A planner helps me know what I need to do as well as activities I may attend. It also is a great place to keep tidbits of quilting hints!
