  1. Definitely, a planner will keep me on track with ALL the nifty projects I just need to do! It’s so easy for me to float from one project to another without really accomplishing anything final…

  2. I like planners as I can actually write in them. with a pen!! As much as technology has helped me, I find the easiest way to enter appointments, things to do, goals to achieve is in the written form. I can review what I wrote the week before, and even monts before. it is easier for me. I am a very visual person.

  3. Dear Pat, Using a planner helps me stay focused to get more done as well as be organized. The old saying goes, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!” I love your Oh My Stars quilt using the blue stars. I just ordered the larger pattern download after watching your video as well as Kendall’s. I’m still working on borders for Summer Camp. I also ordered more Frankie blue fabrics for binding and using on a pieced backing. Oh, I use 4 sheets of styrofoam, 48″ X 14-1/2″ joined together by toothpicks. I used the toothpicks in between the pieces like a table leaf goes together. I then covered the styrofoam sheets on top with a piece of flannel that I got at a garage sale years ago. It works perfect for me and it it very light!portable. You can also buy larger sheets of styrofoam and that would work great too! Thank you for all you do, Pat!

  4. My favorite part about using a planner is that it makes me more productive. There’s something about writing it down that makes me more accountable. And it’s oh so satisfying to check things off my lists when they are complete!

  5. Maybe find a large vinyl tablecloth that is flannel backed and pin it backwards over the quilt on the wall.

  6. My favorite part of using a planner is to see what I have accomplished and what I still want to do in a pretty, organized place. Thanks for the chance to win.

  7. Oh my, I couldn’t function without my planner. My favorite part is being able to check off each task as I finish it. LOL Thank you for the opportunity to win Lori’s planner!

  8. I like using a planner because I can easily see the whole month at a time. I use erasable pens so I can change things without having a messy calendar.

  9. It keeps me organized!! Once I have filled in my planner for the year, I don’t have to think about certain things. Like when do I send Pat her birthday card?? It’s already marked when I should mail it.

  10. I use a planner to organize appointments and classes. My favorite part of this is just having the information written so that I can check in each evening and following morning to see what I need to do. I would like a planner to organize projects as well. I seem to misplace “to do” lists.

  11. I like using a planner because I need a history of projects started, supplies purchased or ordered etc to help me with my unreliable memory!

  12. I’m a list maker so I LOVE seeing my to-do list right in front of me! It gives structure to my day, helps me stay on track and can be very fulfilling to see your accomplishments each day!

  13. I use a planner more now than when I was working. I get a lot of satisfaction by checking things off when done. But it is especially fun to do something not in the planner, then add it in just to be able to check it off. Goes for lists, too.

  14. My favorite part of using a planner is the motivation it provides. I am better at achieving my goals and I really like looking back to see what I have accomplished.

  15. I’ve been using a planner for years and it helps me keep my life (and projects) on track. Couldn’t function without one.

  16. I would love to start a planner !! I make lists in a notebook of what I need to do in the next day or two, & cross them off the list. I feel I would be much more orgainized with a planner. I watch Kimberly Jolly use her’s, & she is very organized.

  17. My favorite part of using a planner is when I can journal the months projects and see all that’s been created throughout the year. It definitely helps me to accomplish things when I can plan them out through my week. Thank you for your calendars they are a great part of the monthly pages in my planner currently. God Bless Lynda

  18. Keeps me focused on all of my UFO’s (because I have a few, ahem – several going) and keeps me on task.

  19. My love for planners probably grew out of my teaching career. It’s so helpful to make sure I plan time for my projects and a great place to jot down anything that I don’t want to forget like book titles, quotes, grandchildren’s activities, etc. It’s fun to look back at events and goals accomplished.

  20. The way it keeps me organized. Using it as it is intended to be used makes it a very useful tool for whatever you want to keep track of.

  21. My favorite part of using a planner is to look back over the years to see what happened in my life.

  22. A planner keeps me organized!!! I do a fairly good job as long as I can remember where that planner is at. That pink planner is sooooooo cute!!!!!! Thanks for a chance to win!!!!!!

  23. I am a visual, write-it-down kind of person, so my favorite part of a planner is that it helps me to be organized, & writing something down in a planner helps me to remember it!

  24. My favorite thing about a planner it keeps me focused to accomplish my tasks. I can get more done and have a sense of pride when I check finished items on my list.

  25. My favorite part of using a planner is keeping me organized and list things that I need to do and and things that I have already done. It is nice to look back at what you have done in a years time. And it is a way of keeping yourself on track. This is so much fun!!

  26. What a beautiful pink planner! My favorite part of using a planner is being able to go back years later and reading the pages to remember what I was doing. I have my planners from when my kids were little and they always warm my heart. ❤️ Thank you for your videos!

  27. I use my planner as a way to keep me accountable for meeting deadlines I give myself. I’m a procrastinator by nature, with out a visual reminder I’ll just go from one incomplete project to another till I’m overwhelmed & depressed from the lack of accomplishing them🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank God for Planners😁

  28. My favorite part of using a planner is having my projects written out on the pages. Each page (and project) is written down rather than just in my head. Then I can check off projects as I get them done. That’s always a win win!!

  29. I have never had a Planner ,I think it would be great to have one place with goals wrote down & to keep track of what I should be doing at any given time it would be great ,I Love watching you

  30. My favorite part of a planner is to keep organized. Not just for a day or two but having the whole year in one book to plan ahead.

  31. I’ve never used a planner but I’m starting to think I need one. I have at least 6 projects going on and more in my head! It would help me see I have room for more fun things to make! haha I love the color pink!

  32. My favorite part of using a planner is it keeps me on track with everyday chores and appointments and helps me keep up with the activities of five active grandkids. I also use it to plan meals, and make shopping lists. Sometimes I find a recipe shop for the ingredients and forget where i saw the recipe, a planner Helps me keep all of that organized.
Thank you, Pat, for all you do. Love your YouTube channel.
    Best Regards,
    Susan Scheuch

  33. I use a planner to keep track of what I have done for the day. I also try to write down what I would like to accomplish for the week. It doesn’t always happen but I just transfer it to the next week.
It is dwarfing to check things off and it makes me accountable.
Thanks for the giveaway Pat and Lori

  34. My favorite part of using a planner is keeping track of all that I accomplished and future projects.

  35. I have always tried to be very organized. AS a life-long teacher, organization was a necessity. A planner will now help me keep all my meetings and volunteer time organized, side by side with quilting planning. Super!

  36. My favorite part of using a planner is motivation! I’ve found that if I don’t write down the projects as I purchase the fabrics, etc, I forget my initial enthusiasm and move on to another project that catches my eye. I also like to check them off my list as they are completed!

  37. I love planners to help keep track of my progress or lack of. I don’t have to try to remember what I was doing or where I have to go on my projects.
Being so busy lately, I may have to skip quilting for a day or two. My planner notes help me get back on track quickly.
I also jot down hacks or other info that you tell us about the piecing of your sew alongs. It is a great referencs for the future.
