My favorite Christmas quilt is from a pattern by Nicole Daksiewicz of Modern Handcraft. It was a wonderfully written and illustrated pattern, called Snowflake. It was so fun to make that I ended up making four, one for me and my husband and one for each of our kids. I plan to make at least 3 more, if I ever finish enough of my current projects!đ I really enjoy seeing all the projects you make and wish I had your energy and speed!đđ
What an awesome thing for Kimberly to share fabrics so we can see different ones. Iâm always looking for Christmas fabrics and ones with flowers, often roses. My favorite winter quilt is one Iâm having a love/hate thing with of mittens. One day soon I hope to finish it.
My favorite and only Christmas quilt so far was on the front of AQS magazine. I made it after collecting the out of date fabric. My sister quilted and I won local county fair “Best of Show”. I gifted back to my sister. Later she found a block she missed quilting.
My favorite Christmas quilt is the first one I made. It was a kit from Connecting Threads that used large poinsettia’s. The fabrics all had poinsettia flowers on them which were cut up and sewn into blocks. Still my favorite Christmas quilt even though I have made quite a few others since then. I watch all your videos and do most of your sew along’s so please keep up the good work you do. You touch a lot of people with your videos and make our lives so much better. You are very appreciated.
Last Christmas, I had no desire to put up a Christmas tree, so I dug through all my Christmas fabric scraps and made a “Charming Christmas” wall hanging from the Fat Quarter Shop free pattern. I loved how it looked on my living room wall and placed my few family presents under the wall hanging. This may be my plan going forward.
I love how the Festival and Fireworks quilt is taking shape. I am working on a traditional sampler quilt using holiday fabrics as a block of the month sew along with my quilt club. I hope to have it ready for the holidays.
Iâve never made a Christmas quilt so Iâm sure my first one will be my favorite!
I watch each of your shows. Has become part of my daily routine. Loved your discussion on “whites.” to day. I like the items you have for this give away. Like others, I would be very excited to wind something from you.
Jelly Snowflake is still my favorite christmas quilt. I loved that it had multiples of each block, like a row-along, but the blocks were assembled in a square instead of rows. That was such a clever concept – I’d actually love to see another – Jelly Snowflake 2 anyone?!
Iâm working on what I think will be my favorite Christmas quilt. I am cross stitching the Prairie Schooler Santas to quilt into a quilt for my granddaughters. Yes, granddaughters! That is a lot of cross stitching! I have 2 precious girls. Iâm hoping to finish by the time they are 10. So, Iâm giving myself some time as they are just turning 2 nowđ. Thanks for all your wonderful videos. Your love of quilting shows through daily. Many blessings to you and your husband.
I’ve made 2 Christmas quilts and I love both. They are very different. One has white poinsettias surrounded by gold & the other is a very scrappy red & green stars. I guess they are both my favorites.
I love any snowman quilt. So winter quilts.
I making the mystery evergreen quilt along with you.
I also made the Halloween mystery with you.
First time ever.
My very first quilt was jelly roll jamboree by Erica Arndt and I used Christmas morning by Lella boutique. Now I need to get the Christmas Eve collection and do something!
My favorite Christmas quilt is the one Wendy Shephard has in her new book, the one with the tree in the middle and the scrappy background! I must buy her book!
Hi! You have been such an inspiration! I have been a quilter for over 35 years, but circumstances in the past few years have made it difficult for me to take the time to quilt. I started watching your YouTube videos this past January, and you have inspired me to get back into quilting. I enjoyed Sweet Childhood Memories and have finished the top except for the last border. It’s all pieced and ready to go! I can’t wait to get to the basket quilt next! Thanks for the time you take to visit with us most days!
A couple of years back, you made a quilt from the Perfect 10 Quilts book called the Banana Quilt. You used Christmas fabric and it used to hang behind you on ‘the other side of the table’. I loved that quilt so much, had to make one like it!
I try to watch your YouTube video daily, if I’m unable I do a Pat Sloan Marathon. I made Christmas quilts for my grandchildren last year. I would love to win your book so I can make one of your quilt patterns for my Chmristmas quilt this year. Thank you for your videos, website and fb site, they are all so helpful.
I generally just change the color palette but I would love to make A Very Coriander Christmas. It’s Christmas but not saturated with the normal Christmas colors plus a variety of blocks…. guess I better get starte LOL
I love watching you and following you on Facebook. I would love to win!
I haven’t made a Christmas quilt yet, but really love the pattern “Fair Isle” by Lee Heinrich
I donât have any Christmas quilts. I need to make one. Beautiful quilts in the book giveaway. Thanks for you wonderful videos. Love your new products. I will check out shirts again. My side wasnât in the color I wanted.
I love all quilts.
My favorite Christmas quilt is currently a sampler I made with our daughter using Lori Holt’s Christmas book. We made a block a week for a year and then put them all together as a mother/daughter sew along a couple of years back.
I love my Christmas mystery quilts I made with my local quilt shop. She had it every year the Saturday of thanksgiving. There were always a group of us that did it every year and then some new quilters too. We would exchange fabric, ot was fun seeing what everyone had. I can look back on them and remember who had what fabrics- well at least most of them.
I look forward to your videos. I even review them. Your teaching skills are phenomenal appreciate them so much. Have learned so much. Got into quilting by the seat of my pants and a 5minute show featuring Carol Duval who was in Detroit MI. Just a brief segment between shows, that was in thaw early 70âs. Then here just wasnât much available. So many thanks for your videos. And havenât tools and fabrics come a long way? Waving to you from Michigan. Thanks. Sue
I love the Christmas quilt pattern, “Joy and Delight,” by Robin Pickens. I haven’t made it yet, but it is on my list. Loved how you showed the neutrals and low volumes today!
I love red and white quilts. Not necessarily Christmas but works for holiday decorating!
My favorite Christmas quilt is the one I did last year. It was a Moda sew-a-long called “Letters to Santa”. I love watching you every day and have learned so much from you.
My favorite Christmas quilt is one I did as Purplework. I saw a box hand-painted with the Nativity scenes and fell in love with it. I converted it to “redwork” and stitched it all in purple. It’s my favorite every year when I bring out all of my Christmas wall hangings.
I have a Twevle Days of Christmas Quilt. It is applique.
Thank you for this giveaway. I would love to win the items you have selected. Last year I finished a Christmas tree quilt using a lovely blue & silver layer cake line. Canât wait to display the quilt again this Christmas. Thank you for all that you teach us.
My favorite Christmas quilt is a Kate Spain design called In from The Cold. It is so cute. I love it. Thank you, Pat, for all the joy and sweet spirit you bring to the quilting world.
I don’t have a favorite Christmas quilt as of yet, I have made a few but love them all. Watch you every day. Love all you do for all of us quilters. Many thanks to you!
My favorite Christmas quilt is my paper pieced Christmas tree that is six foot wall hanging. I sewed snowflake buttons and hung some of handmade ornaments. I made this after selling my home and moving into a senior apartment. Itâs perfect for my home now
Two Christmas favorites, the snowflake and the three old car quilt, both (I think) from the Fat Quarter. BUT it’s your cheery personality that adds the frosting to the cake.
My favorite Christmas quilts are antique red and white. So clean and classic. Traditional. That NOTEBOOK would be perfect to jot down all the inspirational things. I’m playing catch-up on your video’s. I only have cross stitch with me in NC at the moment, but will be back to sewing when I get back home this fall. Thanks – T.
I have 3 favorite Christmas Quilts. Merry & Bright, Vintage Christmas (Lori Holt) and Have Yourself a Quilty Little Christmas (Lori Holt).
I can’t wait for all the new patterns and Christmas QAL’s this year. It’s always fun to make & gift a Christmas quilt.
I love my Noel quilt by Sweetwater and I also love your videos! Thanks for sharing!
I have made two Christmas quilts but my goal this year is to make at least two more to be able to put them on my kids beds for Christmas. I am going to start the Festival and Fireworks in a couple of days with Christmas fabrics. I am so excited about this one. I didnât start before because I didnât have a background and I just received it.
Love your videos and inspiration.
PAT
MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS QUILT âFrostyâs In Townâ
Pattern was from The Quilt Co., 2000
Thank you for all you do.
Have a wonderful day.
Bonnie
From one Pat to another, thank you so much for all you do for us quilters!!! Your daily videos got me through the isolation of the COVID epidemic when we got sent home to work. A couple of quilts you’ve done quilt alongs for are my favorites: Bringing home the Christmas Tree from Lori Holt’s Vintage Christmas book and Sheri Falls Winter Wonderland. I have the fabric to make both – just need to get at it now that I have 2 new hips and that saga is behind me. I can stand to cut now! Take care – you bring sunshine to us all :).
I love the Nelly snowflake.
I’m very new to sewing and I get frustrated some times but I can watchine of your videos and it helps a lot.
Take care
Laura Frazier
I think it was called Charming Christmas. It was a good size Christmas tree made with a charm pack. Easy & fun to do. I also like the mystery FQS SAL a couple of years ago that was the row quilt. That one looks great hanging in my dining room where I switch up the seasonal quilts. Your giveaway is awesome & generous!
I have made two Christmas quilts. My latest and favorite is a variation of a pattern by Jen Kingwell.
I would love to win your giveaway….I have made several d Christmas quilts. Probably my favorite is a red and white one that my friend quilted on he long arm with red poinsettias
Hi Pat, I am a daily watcher of your videos and often refer back to them for refreshers on past projects. Oh my, did I say “past”….well that’s because I haven’t finished all of them yet! Today will be a full day of sewing. Thanks for all you do.
I love watching your YouTube videos every day. I’m so inspired to create more. I have two favorite Christmas quilts.. Tannenbaum by Laundry Basket Quilts and a redwork quilt called Deck the Halls.
I’ve already started my Christmas quilt and wall hangings. Today I decided to join the Evergreen Quilt Row QA.(what’s one more project at this point!) My favorite Christmas quilt is a simple (96 patch) 5″ patchwork with 6″ border made with rich, Christmas colors along the lines of burgundy, dark greens, etc. with gold metallic accents. It’s my favorite because I hang it on a quilt rack at the bottom of a 3 tier pine shelving that is full of my “certain type” of Santa Claus collection. All 65 of them! It’s up all year round. Love it!
My favorite winter quilt is the large snowflake in blues.
My favorite Christmas quilt was made long ago with a group of online friends as a row by row quilt. I have met all but one of the ladies who worked on the quilt, so that adds to the “friendship” feeling. But the top of the memories is a row that a friend in Whitehorse, YT made using pictures of my first granddaughter, daughter, my Mom and I. It’s extra special because my Mom had passed away shortly after the granddaughter was born. This quilt will “live” here in my house until I’m ready to pass it along to that granddaughter when the time is right.
