Oh my gosh I have sewn a sleeve in the wrong sleeve too but what is worse I sewed the collar on back the front also. There waw lots of unpicking there … I never knew the term ripping then lol it is so much better than unpicking but I was only a teenager hahaha
I learned to sew at my motherâs knee making Barbie doll clothes. I was so excited to make my own clothes, or start to anyway, in High School. I remember making a jumper in hot pinks and purple in a geometric design. Boy I wish I still had it. I loved it! I continued to sew off and on but really got into quilting when my kids were teenagers. So I guess that makes me an old quilter! lol
Still loving it!!!
Oops! It was Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.
Speaking of sleeves reversed…In high school I had a date for a concert (Kenny Rogers and the First Dimension) in Nashville. This was in the late 60’s when the hippie movement was big. I made a full length dress with braided ribbon at the bottom, on the sleeves and around the neck. I was so proud. While sitting at the concert I noticed I had reversed the sleeves. Luckily, my date never noticed or was too polite to mention it. It was a great date anyway!
