  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

  1. Pat….maybe you have discussed this before but what is your take on ironing….to steam or not to steam. I watch several different sites and it is really mixed on what you are encouraged to do. One video I watched the instructor steamed sometimes and not other times. Thanks

  2. Angel food cake was always my choice of cake for my birthday! It is still my favorite to this day-may have to get one for my birthday in a couple of weeks!

  3. My mother in law moved to Canada from Wales in 1953. She tasted Angel Food Cake at the home of a local woman who befriended the family. She thought it was divine and asked for the recipe, but didn’t look at it until she was home. 12 eggs! There was still rationing in Britain, and they were only allowed 1 egg per month!

  4. Angel Food Cake was my Mom’s go to for picnics. It traveled well & was a light desert. Sometimes it got a pink icing. I still have her Mirror cake pan that carried the cake.
