I got a new knee and it was 2onderful. 3 m9nths later I was hiking in 5 national parks in Utah. Quilted a picture of the Gentle Arch as a momento of our trip. Thank you for all you do to promote quilting. Looking forward to 2025.
So many wonderful things to talk about that happened in 2024. I one treasured moment that comes to mind my whole family was able to get together for a visit. Great laughs stories and great food. I started working full time so I’m limited to my sewing time right now. learning to juggle my sewing time.
I think I had a typo in my previous post.
My favorite thing about 2024 was making my first and second quilts.
The best thing to happen to me in 2024 was that I made my first and second quilt. I have been wanting to quilt for years and didn’t think I could figure it out.
I missed out by 1 minute.
I finally finished a memory quilt in 2024 for my Father. He and my mother loved looking at all the pictures I had printed on fabric and incorporated into the quilt
Had a complete knee replacement, still in recovery but able to move so much better. Hand binding was my go to project when sitting at my machine was not possible.
I’m grateful and blessed to have had so much time with my brother and his family in 2024. He had been diagnosed with throat cancer at the beginning of 2024. For the past six months, in 2024 I traveled to his home (350 miles) to spend several days with him and his family whom I had not seen in ten years. My brother and I were very close all of our lives so re-lived some of our childhood memories and shared them with his now grown children. It was so beautiful especially when I brought my grown children along with me because they had also gotten very close to my brother and his family when they were young. I lost him the day after Christmas but I will always cherish the time I had with him and the family.
I had a wonderful trip to Glacier NP in August 2024. Loads of fabulous hiking and happy moments with my family!
My husband and I took three trips in 2024. We traveled to Nashville, Orlando, and then we went to Myrtle Beach.
Finally got my longarm machine running and quilted a small quilt on it. For me this was a major accompkishment!
The outcome of the 2024 election was the very Best!
Best thing about 2024 is my great grand daughter knows me and runs to me!
Another generation that thinks I am magical! My 14 yr old granddaughter also wants to learn to sew.
I am so blessed!
Thank you Pat for your videos, they are always so inspiring. The best thing for me in 2024 was the new home we moved to and getting my new sewing space set up, with the decluttering of old fabrics and unfinished projects. So glad to start 2025 with a clean slate.
I managed to stay out of the hospital this year. I didn’t get much sewing done as I have been taking care of my sister who is dealing with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and also dealing with a have to kitchen makeover as a gas leak was detected in the oven which came with the house but was a built in. But the kitchen makeover was a good thing.
The one thing I can say about 2024 is that it is finally over. It was one of my worst years every. Early in January my Dad called me and asked me to travel to where he lived and set up medical assistance in death. I did this for him. I was sick myself, mentally and physically. I had two serious falls causing extensive dental repairs to be done, with no insurance coverage. Towards the end of the year I was finally able to get back to sewing and have found my juju again. I would really like to make Flower Shop. 2025 Can only get better
My best thing of 2024 didn’t start as a good thing….I live in Bradenton Florida where we got hit by two hurricane. I have lived here my whole life and never had to live through flooding like we had. Our house was flooded and our whole lives were turned upside down. But it made my family closer and taught me patience. Which I don’t really have. Now our house is finally going to get repaired and we will start on our new adventure in life with a new outlook on life. (Thankfully my sewing machines and fabric didn’t get destroyed! )
The best thing I did in 2024 was enter a quilt in my Guild’s quilt show. Even tho I have been quilting for decades it was always too intimidating for me. I got out of my “box” this year and loved all of the process and was a super proud participant What a sense of belonging! Can’t wait for our next show in 2026!
I made a huge dent in my scraps by making 5 charity quilts using your 2-1/2 in square pattern!
The end of 2024 brought me a new quilting and embroidery machine! I am excited to learn to use it!
Thank you for all your 2024 videos, I enjoy them all and participate on quite a few.
I turned 75 and am grateful for every day that I can spend with my family and doing the things I love.
I finished a few quilts this year. My favorite was a polar bear for my cousins son. I also made some small pieces too.
Such a fun quilt for spring, I would love to make it. Thanks for all your videos they help me keep organized and on track.
It’s been a good year. A lot of ups and downs. But very blessed. 6 beautiful grandchildren. At 66 still working 2 days a week but quilting when I can. Have completed a lot small projects. Yea. Trying to get a quilt assembled all the blocks are made was the FQS mystery blocks for 2023. Been a slow go but I will get it done.
In the spring of 2024 I managed to finish 2 beautiful graduation quilts, one for my daughter and one for her cousin. At the same time I was working full time, so it felt like a big achievement to cut, piece and quilt them in just a short time!
I loved the vacation my husband and I took to Spain and Italy. Loved spending time with family. And loved the surprise when my daughter and son in love were able to be with us for Christmas. Such a blessing. Thank you for are you do for the quilting community.❤️💕💜💕❤️Looking forward to 2025.
My favorite thing was the several charity/ministry quilts I was able to do in 2024. Hoping to do even more in 2025!
My 2024 was wonderful because I woke most days to decide which project or quilt to work on. My sewing room is the living room area where I spend countless hours a day happily sewing or quilting. There’s a big window for light and to see what is happening outside and who is driving by. 😁
My youngest got his first job out of college and is thriving!!
It was a hard 2024 but the most wonderful thing is my father made it through an upper GI bleed (artery bursted in the stomach lining) and he is doing super after a few months and I was able to gift him a flag quilt I was trying to finish for his 87th birthday in July. So thankful he recovered so well.
I am so thankful to be a quilter. In 2024 I have found myself wanting to learn new piecing methods and paper piecing quilts.
2024 was a real roller coaster for me. Having a 95 yr old mom and 99 yr old aunt both with dementia, my sister and I have had our hands full. My husband also had medical issues to deal with, in and out of hospitals for 6 months. Very little time to do anything in my sewing space. BUT, the highlight of the year was my dear sister in law gifting me a trip with her to Door County Wisconsin. Doesn’t sound like much but it’s a place I enjoyed immensely in the past. Was wonderful being able to escap
e the madness at least for a week.
Thankful for the time I got to spend with my kids when we were all together. Its a rare treat 😉
