I've wanted to do a library quilt for a long time.
There are so many wonderful ones I've seen over the years and for me, I want to keep it simple so this block was just the right one!
I'd love to take novelty prints for the book edges.. fun fun!
I really enjoy sharing my thoughts each week in the pattern, and look forward to hearing what you think about with the weekly topic.
This one will be a good. I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your gardens PLUS the flower blocks I designed.

Thank you Pat, I love this block. Making a book quilt has been on my list for a little while and your block may just give me the motivation to start it.
Pat: Where do l find Block 1. I must have missed your posting
I always bring a book to the lake, usually a murder/mystery and a biography. I wanted to use pieces from my charm pack and scraps so I had to add a couple skinny books.
My school didn’t have a library, but we had a book-mobile that came once a week. We got to go out a few at a time to browse and pick out our books. Two of my favorites were White Fang, and Anne of Green Gables.
This is very timely for me, Pat, as I am working on a quilt and wanted to incorporate books in it. Thank you.
Pat, I LOVE your book block. I enjoy reading so much, and when I was a child I spent my summers reading. Thanks for all the wonderful patterns you give us, and for bringing up happy memories, too!
