  1. I love the home is project but where are directions for sewing together the first row? I get lost in your website! It says go to project page but how? Please help!! Margie

  2. I just love this sew along!! Every new block is more fun than the last. Thank you Pat. Growing up I remember my parents always saying if we didn’t finish our dinner, “your eyes are bigger than your stomach”

  3. The attic I remember was at my Great-grand parents home. It had only one finished
room up there and my Mother told me when she was a little girl they would let her
go up there and play. As a young girl, my sister, cousin and I were not allowed up
there so it was a mystery to us. But later on my Mother inherited the house and
finally we were able to go up there. it was really exciting for us to finally see
it. I for one went up there often and thought how much fun my Mother probably had
    as a young girl.

  4. The Attic in my home (we moved 3 years ago) was a third floor full stair walk up with 1800 square feet for me to store fabrics and I had barrels and tubs and shelves full of all things needed to sew COSTUMES ! This career blossomed in 1991 and only just came to a halt with Pandemic. Rows and rows of costumes hung on poles between the eaves with shoes and hats displayed everywhere.
Quilting has evolved since 2000 as a hobby. When The grandchildren came from CA , the FIRST words were “ Hi Granny can we go up in the attic.? Numerous actors here in Wilmington still remember having fittings in the ATTIC ! Now my business is in a warehouse awaiting the return of live theatre. We will always remember the birth of my costume career from THE ATTIC !

  5. My childhood home had rooms in the attic(3rd floor). Yes it was very hot in the summer. John and I had a storage attic in our home until the children came and we made it into a large bedroom-playroom. Now our downsized home has a pulldown ladder and we have a nice attic again that we will take our grandchildren up to.

  6. I want to tell you about my grandparents attic. It was used for storage. There was a cedar closet up there that had old clothes from the 1920’s. The fun part for my siblings and I was hollering from the windows when people were passing by and watching their reactions. I love old memories.

  7. Oh thank you for block seven I was able to complete the top section today. I was so excited when you was talking about the attic bedroom that is what I grew up with. My parents had a small five room house and my bedroom was the attic with sloped ceilings and a very steep ladder type steps to my room. I had window on both ends of the room which was nice since we had no central air conditioning. Many memories. Home Is ❤️

  8. I am enjoying your “Home Is Quilt pattern….I cannot wait to cut into it. I am still waiting for the background I ordered. I am making the heart quilt for my guild as a loving gift. And getting my ufo’s in line for completion! So much to do, but a little bit at a time. Thank for your smiling positivity 😊🤗

  9. First of all , a very Happy Birthday to your brother . Wishing him well for the entire year .
I love the block a day quilt for March and I am fine with whatever block you choose as I know it will be great ! I have to admit , the last one is still in my UFO pile but it is the next quilt to finish . I was waiting for my sashing fabric and then other quilts bumped that one back . Last year I posted each days block I made on our family What’s App and my kids enjoyed seeing the new blocks daily . My youngest daughter was actually just saying how much she looked forward to seeing the block of the day !

  10. Woohoo…I’m voting yes for a block a day with NO half square triangles!!! Cant wait. My SAH is a UFO still..lol

  11. A block of the Day for the month of March ‘with no half square triangles’ LOL would be Wonderful!! I have been craving another Sew Along by you 🙂 And March is still winter shut in time. THANK YOU Pat!!
