  1. I’d love to win the Jelly roll quilt book and jolly bar set and pattern. I mainly decorate with pumpkins, fall leaves and plenty of gnomes.

  2. I have several favorite quilts. I made a Donna Jordan pattern with the Cottage Bleu line which came out gorgeous. I made a king which was the largest quilt I ever made. I also made a modern quilt pattern by Kimberly Einmo using all kona fabrics.
It would be wonderful to be entered into the Giveaway quilt contest.

  3. One of my favorite quilts I made was Tula pink’s butterfly quilt. I did use all the Tula Pink fabric I had collected over the years.
I felt it did challenge me and enjoyed the sew along with you and the Pat Sloan community.

  4. My favorite quilt I made so far is made with Tula Pink fabric. It is a Jaybird quilt pattern of a giant star called Nebula. I love the the color that it brings to my bedroom.

  5. These people that say those things who’s quilts should they be if not yours after all you bought the fabric and put the work into them so why do they think they are not yours to do with them whatever you choose? People are nuts sometimes!
I love your blog and the way you present things keep up the good stuff. You’re wonderful. Thank You Barb😊♥️

  6. I love the Accuquilt because it is so accurate and it saves time with the sometimes tedious chore of cutting out my quilt pieces. I’d love to have the queen decal for my friend that I always tease about being the quilting queen! She is a dear sweet woman who is always doing things for others as well as being a great quilter.
Thanks for your videos. I enjoy them so much.

  7. I would like to enter the gnome give away, I have an Accuquilt, would love to make another Oh my stars and try the 12 weight aurifil to use for big stitch quilting and yes I use a thimble !!

  8. Thank you for today’s YouTube! I learned a few new things today. I’m definitely signing up for the new Mystery Evergreen notice.

  9. You are such a kind giving person and don’t deserve the negativity. We love all you do to make this a fun and learning experience. God Bless you Pat.

  10. Love all your videos. Especially like today’s and seeing all your quilt storage. I also keep most of the quilts I make and eventually use them as gifts when needed. Have had people say I should not keep them or to make them as needed. I like to quilt so I make them; hang onto them. Have made a graduation a quilt for all of my 8 Grandkids. Have really enjoyed making them and seeing their faces when they open then up. Thank you for sharing your given talent….

  11. Hi Pat,
I usually don’t respond to blogs, but this just got to me. I don’t even understand how someone, let alone many people can comment negatively about what you do with your quilts. They are indeed your quilts!!Have they never seen how designers sell their pattern samples or store samples? You take it to a whole different level by giving them away. What could possibly be offensive about that? I love to make quilts and gift at least 50% of them. I don’t need them. It brings me joy to be We have created a group at church to make prayer quilts for whoever needs a prayer. I have provided fabric as well as other ladies. We feel great joy in giving of our time, talent and fabric. I feel sorry for people who have never felt that joy.
God Bless you Pat and please continue to be an example of joy and charity.

  12. I think it’s wonderful that you donate your quilts. I keep making quilts and fall in love with each one so I’ve kept them. The 17 quilts I made for nieces and nephews were given to them last year with love. But several of them I made a duplicate for myself because I loved the pattern so much. My closet is getting quit full so I will have to figure out some place else to store them. Thank you so much for sharing your quilts an$ all 5he great sew alongs.

  13. Your cheery videos are a highlight to my day, as I’m sure they are for many more quilters.
I love how you decorate and surround yourself with quilts. I do the same. Give away quilts!!!, only if you so desire! They can go to others when I’m gone!!!
    Thank you for being you.

  14. Stay true to your beautiful self. You have a loving, giving heart and want to share your quilting gift with others.
Thank you for ALL you do for each Youtube video.

  15. I can’t believe some one would criticize you about your quilts. You made them and they are
yours to keep or give away. I admire you and how generous you are with your quilt alongs
and videos. Keep doing what your are doing we love you and what you do.

  16. It’s probably too late for the giveaway, but I really enjoyed Childhood Memories. I loved the fabric I used and knew who I was going to give it to. I also want to say thank you Pat for all that you do. I can’t believe people can be mean to you.

  17. It is quite a shame when others start judging us for the way we live our lives!! When you said that you got mean texts about your quilts I wanted to lash out at all of them. Don’t they understand that prior to 2020 you were out in the country teaching quilting to others? I know from watching your videos that you have given plenty of your quilts away. Thank you Pat for all that you do for all of us. And maybe those people who have bad things to say should just not be part of our happy group! KINDNESS is what this word needs more of!!

  18. I agree with the comments above. They are yours to do with as you please. You should know that each and every quilt has served in inspiring us on our quilt journey.

  19. Pat, I cannot believe that there are rudies out there who would criticize you for anything you do, especially with your own creations! I always love hearing the details of your journey. Thank you for sharing with us and also, Wanda’s poem. How delightful.

  20. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE should criticize you for how you choose to dispose of/share your quilts. Your generosity in donating them to various causes helps spread the news that quilters are not only creative, but are also generous. As others have already said, your quilts are your creations to give or to keep as you see fit. Please do not let those naysayers out there get to you. I know it can be hard to ignore them, but to try to respond would probably do no good as the y would refuse to listen. Keep up the good work.

  21. I’m so glad you showed the segment about your donation quilts. They are beautiful! I especially love the one that is hanging in your dining room…I think at one time, long ago, I was thinking of making one similar. I’ve been quilting a long time and I recognize many of your older designs. Classic beauty!
I’m totally dumbfounded that anyone would criticize you for what you choose to do with YOUR quilts! You are allowed to have every room in your house stacked floor to ceiling with quilts if you so desire. You are being extremely generous in giving away so many of your treasures. I can only imagine how difficult those decisions are. I love hearing you talk out your thought process about your quilting journey.
I look forward to your nearly daily videos always find some food for thought and feel like I’ve had a visit with a like minded friend.

  22. Hi Pat, i am so glad you howed this segment of your video. I love to see the quilts that you are passing on to people who need help. You are an inspiration to us all. Well done and I love, love ,love watching your videos and hearing what you are up to. Also happy belated birthday wishes to Greg.
    Have an awesome day.

  23. That’s so upsetting that people would judge you so harshly, Pat, about your quilt inventory and who it belongs to! Wow! You’re so giving of your time and quilts that I’m astounded that anyone would be so ugly as to criticize you. Also, I’m the Treasurer of the Frisco Quilt Guild in Frisco, TX, and we’re trying to come up with new ideas for fund raisers. If you feel so led, you may want to donate a quilt to our guild to auction off. Size doesn’t matter and if it’s unbound, we can bind it before auctioning. If it is made by YOU, our Guild members would LOVE to bid on it!

  24. Those that have negative comments should just go away. I love your videos! I watch them every day you post. I am glad you spoke about the negative comments. Love n hugs!! Your true friend. Loriann

  25. You have put your heart and soul into your quilts that you have made over the years. You share your craft and expertise with all of your viewers. Perhaps some of them don’t watch your videos for the right reasons. 🤓
I commend you for donating your quilts to places who can use them. I enjoy watching and listening to you.

  26. I have gotten some comments from friends and family about the number of quilts I have made and kept for myself. I just love making them and, although I have given many away, I don’t want to give them carelessly to someone who many not value them. And, I do LOVE them!! I value your positivity, creativity, and generosity in producing so many videos to keep us all connected in a world where that is becoming less common. Just put those negative comments on a cloud as it’s floating by and let them go!! So thankful for you!!!!

  27. I am in total agreement with posts above. You are kind and generous, the “nay sayer” words are on them not you.

  28. It amazes me the audacity that some people have. Your quilts are your quilts until you give them away. You’ve paid for them or did the work or whatever… it’s no one else’s business what you do with them. I see you as a very intelligent, generous and kind person. I think those people are just jealous. Would I love to own some quilts? yes! But I don’t begrudge you yours. Right now, I am focusing on making them for the people I love (children, grandchildren, parents, etc). I am going to have to make my sweet hubby one soon… I haven’t made him or me one. Soon! You keep being you Pat!! So many appreciate you and your kindness shown every day through your videos, Facebook page and website. Thank you for all you do!

  29. It boggles my mind what others feel they have a right to say whatever, but I’m going to do it anyway! I like to quilt and some people admire my work, even say I’m an artist. That being said, it is solely my right to decide to whom and when I pass along my creations, just as it is for any other maker.
Most people ‘expecting’ a free sample of our work have no appreciation of what has gone into it. Quilters, and other artists, know. Besides, it is OUR work, and OUR choice to dispose of it how and when WE choose!
I’m pleased to say that I recently gave someone my version of a 2022 Pat Sloan quilt-along and I have been really gratified with the thanks I received, and compliments after the recipient posted about it. Thank you, Pat Sloan, for helping me be a better creator as I follow your journey.
Thank you, too, for setting an example for how we can improve the lives of others by joyfully giving of ourselves through our quilting arts.

  30. YIkes, it is unfortunate that people seem so opinionated about what others are doing. Pat you do so much to make a difference in this world for many, many charities, fund raisers, and worthwhile organizations. Only you can know what you need to keep to maintain your business and for what ever other reasons that you have. It was your work. Thank you for encouraging us everyday to learn and improve our craft as well as providing us with different opportunities for QAL’s benefiting organizations such as “Make a Wish” , “United Negro College Fund”, “Virginia Quilt Museum”, National Breast Cancer Foundation”, and “Unicef” to name a few.

  31. I was saddened to hear that some folks were giving you grief on your quilts. They are lovely and you make my day so much better when you share. I’m impressed on how much work you’ve done in two years to get back your house. I’m slowly working on that and I haven’t made near the progress you have. I applaud you for giving quilts to charity.
Keep up the great work! I love the videos and the sew alongs. I may not get them all made, but I do keep the patterns and the helpful hints.

  32. Good grief. Pat
I feel so fortunate to have 3 of your quilts. I won on the auction.
I am so sorry these people talked to you that way. Please do not take that to heart.Love your work!

  33. I am so sorry to hear that some folks give you a bad time about your quilts. The quilts are your work and you can do with them as you see fit. I love that you donate so many of them. I haven’t bee quilting anywhere near as long as you you and still I have a storage problem. Please do as you choose with your quilts as they are your work, your energy and your art!
