Not sure I am in the right place but here goes. I decorate for fall with pumpkins, fall flowers, some autumn figurines and wall hangings as well as table toppers. I also made a fall wreath for my front door that features scarecrows and pumpkins. Thanks, Pat, for all you do and share with us.
My favorite quilt (top – not yet finished) is a scrappy variation of Irish Chain that has my mom & grandma’s fabrics in it – although I do not know any of the fabrics’ stories.
Hello, You start my day every day your on watching your video. My favorite quilts Ive made are The Double Wedding ring quilts for my son’s weddings. Each one was designed to show the colors of their wedding. The first one also represented his wife’s love of disney and the theme of their wedding was Beauty and the Beast. The rings had colors of Bells Dresses in the movie. The Background represented the Yellow dress. For the Dimond cornerstones were blue and gold for their wedding colors. IT won a blue ribbon in our county fair.
My favorite quilt I’ve made was for my young son. It had applique stars, hearts, and moons (i think it was from the Quilts, Quilts, Quilts book). It was loads of bright colors and I added ‘i love you’ in 4 different languages, one on each side of the first border. It was so fun to make and so fun to play with (what color is this? how many hearts in this row? Where’s your favorite color?) and sleep under. Such wonderful memories! That quilt is SO SOFT now. 🙂
My favorite is a red and white cheater quilt from a sweetwater block panel. They made a neutral and red and a green and red version. I added sashing and a border and backed it in a Tula block and white gingham flannel. I meant it to be a holiday quilt but it stays out all year!
Good Morning,,,My favorite quilt is actually a wall hangingI did for my sister. It combines our great grandmother’s flour sacks that I cut into shapes of flowers, butterflies and chicks. I then appliqued the pieces down and embellished using Sue Spargo’s embroidery stitches. I always enjoy your videos and being a part of the Sloan Zone😊
My favorite quilt is from a pattern in Jelly Roll Quilts and I used pastel batiks.
The pattern was a French Braid and because I used batiks it was very easy
to make . With no wrong sides to worry about the quilt was easy to cut and
sew. To make the quilt “mine” I changed added to the design by appliquéing
along two sides.
Thank you , Pat, for the opportunity for your giveaway !
I made a blue pineapple quilt using a Patrick Lose floral fabric. I also made a scalloped border, the first time doing both the pattern and the border.
My favorite quilt is a wall hanging of a bookshelf with books. I made it to put up in my cubical at work. It makes me feel like I have a little bit of home with me.
So hard to choose my favorite quilt. They sort of are like your children. Can you have a favorite? If I have to choose iI’ll pick my first vintage quilt. It’s made with vintage hankies, doilies, embroidered dresser scarves. But, I really love them all.
