**Summer Soiree… Mystery Sew Along Details***
If you are just joining me, hi friend! This sew along theme is inspired a 'Summer Soiree'.
soi·rĂ©e /swĂ€ËrÄ/
"The definition of a soirée is a gathering or get-together, especially a posh or elegant one. A soiree is an elegant and intimate affair. It is an evening party held in a private house. While ambient music plays, guests engage in a variety of private conversation."

- Can I use Stash (fabric I own) - Yes! Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
- Will I use all the fabric - Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!

- NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block. I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic. That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.
***Fabric I'm using***
I'm using the Figs & Shirtings fat quarter bundle + background fabric from my friend Joanna. You will have some left over. I am so excited about using this fabric! I love that splash of black!
You do not have to use the same fabric as me. You can use any fabric you like
- Figs & Shirtings fabric, pick up your favorite for backing! - https://shrsl.com/2ymo4

Hello Pat,
My mother in law taught me how to cross stitch years ago Over the years, I have managed to cover many of the walls in my house with beautiful artwork made from cross stitch patterns. I will be watching the cross stitch university because l have never stitched on linen. Iâm hoping there is some information regarding this during the university time. I am now quilting as well (thanks to you, Kimberly, and many other wonderfully talented quilters on YouTube). Thank you for all that you do!
Learned to cross stitch “on the fly”. Picked up quilting the same way learn as you go with instructions provided. I got started watching you tube content following shoulder surgery and now enjoy watching my favorites regularly. I have learned many tips and techniques watching people like you and Kimberly sharing you knowledge and love of your craft/art. Thank you for all you do
How can I get the first block for Boos and Bats? I’ve looked on the site or is it on the Fat Quarters site? I have the Bats block and one other but it is downstairs in my sewing room and I can’t remember where exactly. I am trying to catch up on Summer Soiree. Finish Block 5, and started cutting out Block 6. Just printed Block 7. I have learn so much from the comments and adore all the weekly blocks. Thank you Pat for all the great blocks. Lydia
this is the first sew together for me and i am so enjoying time with you and thank you
i will be checking for more right away,,so fun

Keeping with memories of my Summer SoirĂ©e wedding, we had a live country western band! It was a local popular band I think called Ray Randel and His Renowned Boys! Little back story when I was a teenager I babysat for him on weekends when he went out on gigs! He gave me a discount because of this! $250 for 4 hours of great dancing! Being country he played all the popular songs of the day! He was also one of the best square dance callers in our area! So needless to say we did a lot of âdossy/doeingâ and reels! My whole family were great square dancers so the dance floor was always full! It was an evening wedding! We got married in the city at 4pm then headed to a country ski lodge to eat, drink and dance till 1am! This block kinda reminds me of the Star square you would form while dancing a reel!
